Around a year ago our love for upcycling and streetwear turned into a beautiful result - ValorisationLab. - the brand transforming vintage scarves into unique headwear.
The brand name originates from a French term ‘valorisation’, which means increasing value of the product by its modification or transformation, and thus creating something new.
Creating caps from vintage scarves isn't an usual apparel production, where one produces hundreds or thousands items of the same model.
In our production we're excited about each and every piece because you never know what kind of hat you are going to get when you look at the initial garment.
We put our hearts and souls in creating of each cap, which is why sometimes it is really hard to give our masterpieces away. However, sharing is caring ;)
We've come a long way trying hard to elaborate stable quality standards and find the best materials for producing not only unique and beautiful caps, but also ensuring the same high quality and outline.
Today we've got enough experience to go further and bring our products everywhere in the world. That is why we really need your support!
Once again it's worth mentioning that every hat we create is unique and can hardly be repeated, which is why we can not let everyone to choose the hat he or she likes, BUT instead you are able to choose the type of your hat and its major color. Please, let us surprise you!
After the project succeeds you will receive survey with available major colors:
- Red (or it's shades like burgundy)
- Blue (or it's shades like indigo/light blue)
- Yellow (including gold)

We want you to rock this summer with our hats, so we will do something quite unusual for Kickstarter:
- If we get 30% funding by the 9th day of the project or earlier we will start purchasing materials;
- If your support brings 70% funding by the 20th day of the project we will start production;
- If you help us to fulfill all steps mentioned above, we will be ready to start shipping our caps on the last days of June, and you will receive them in July already!
Risks and challenges
We don't have any particular risks with completing our project, because creating caps with unusual materials is our specialization, thus we've worked with crazy things like fish skin, tweed jackets or cork fabrics.
The only risk is that your support will extremely shift our expectations, but even in this case we've got a plan: we have preliminary contracts with suppliers for additional materials, and also there are several experienced sewers-freelancers, who will help us to produce ordered quantities without breaking our schedule.
Don't worry and get ready to have a cap you'll be excited about and proud of. Just remember UNIQUENESS-QUALITY-SUSTAINABILITY and we do it all!
