Quick Update - International Backers

Hello Backers,

Want to give a two part update; part 1) all backers, Part 2) International Backers

Part 1) 

For those who’ve received the GoPlug gear, thank you for the many positive messages about your products— we’re glad you like them.  We’ve tried working out all the bugs in the QC process— For the three or four people having issues with your gear, corrective action is taking place (perhaps not as instantly as some would like).   Keep in mind we’re not Amazon; however, we’ve have integrity and will do what we can to correct any mistake. 

For those of you having issues pairing the app, I failed to mention the BT light is also a button.  It must be pushed when you get to the pairing portion of the instructions.  Also, keep in mind you are using a developer version of the app.  When Apple approves our app for the app store, regular updates will be sent fixing minor bugs you may find.  Still no completion date for the Android App… we’ll keep you posted!

Part 2)

For the International Backers:  Your bags are with a 3rd party fulfillment center— they will be sent.  GoPlug has called/emailed/skyped, and communicated daily about having your gear sent.  We are not happy with their slow approach and will not be using them in the future!!!  Additionally, they left for the Chinese New Year before sending your gear… We’ve made our dissatisfaction known and again, apologies for the inconvenience!  As they return from the Chinese New Year, your reward should be their shipping priority.  I am as frustrated with them as you probably are with us!

Finally, for those of you asking to exchange bag types/colors, we cannot fulfill these requests— sorry!

      I'm here because of the lack of communication with the emails from support why do I have to wait weeks to get a response. You don't have to be Amazon to reply to an email in a timely manner. Because now when somebody do reply I will then have to wait another 2-4 weeks before I get a replacement battery

      I'm not writing here to complain about international shipments...

      Okay, how long should this battery last? Charging my phone from 50% to 100% takes down the battery to 50%. Is this normal for anyone else?

      @mrflib I think we original EARLY BIRDS have been *expletive* patient. But like I said to them, it is REPREHENSIBLE international backers get pushed so far, they only care about their domestic shipments. This update literally just says oh we *expletive* picked the wrong/cheap logistics. Mind you they didn't even realize Lunar New Year is HUGE in predominantly chinese countries, the entire workforce shuts down for 3 weeks to a month.

      At this point just pray it makes it in one piece and you don't require exchange or warranty because i'm pretty sure this will be their only product ever anyway.

      In the span of waiting for the goplug to even come i've gone through 2 years of university without the novelty of the goplug. I should've refunded when people were in arms.

      Obviously no one here minds waiting a bit longer for the bags - we've been supporting you since 2014. What I mind, and I'm sure I'm not alone here, is the very poor communication. I'm not talking about Kickstarter updates, I'm talking about email.

      You advised us to email the support@ email address rather than post comments here stating communication will cease on this platform. I therefore sent an email which was replied to in 24 hours - your staff member thought I wanted to buy a new bag. When I advised I was looking for any update on Kickstarter pledges not a new bag I got radio silence. I sent 4 further emails over the space of nearly a month - all entirely ignored.

      All it would have taken to maintain a basic level of satisfaction is a basic level of response. "We're aware of issues with international fulfilment, we'll be putting out an update shortly'.

      I realise you're really busy dedicating yourself to this, Josh, that's why you hired Emily to help support. You've done so much work to get this far but you're skimping in an area that no business ever should.

      If I had been anyone else other than a patient Kickstarter I suspect I would have cancelled their order. You can not run an actual business like this. This is the way to 1 and 2 start Trustpilot reviews!

      Once you're up an running and have stock no doubt you can consider expanding support - but for now at least please reply to your emails. Ignoring them in the way that you have (when it became apparent I didn't want to pay GoPlug any new money) makes me feel entirely worthless to you. Kickstarter backers are your evangelists - let us justify our purchases by boasting about how awesome everything is to our friends!

      This post is meant as constructive criticism; please don't take it any other way.

      Ah an update! Thanks for the info.. I don't personally mind the delay, but it was the lack of any information that was killing me. Can we know when our bags are scheduled to be delivered? Are we talking in terms of days, weeks or months here?

      I haven't received either of my bags. I pledged for the camera bag and messenger.
