Production Update - Prepare for Survey

Posted by Josh Cross (Creator)

Production Update —

Our team has been working their tails off and we couldn’t be more excited about the progress.

You’ve all waited patiently, and we’re thrilled to declare final production and assembly is slated to begin the week of June 13th. I will be on-site for this milestone and keep you updated with photos!

Power Bank molding is finished and the T1 sample plastics will be sent for review May 17th! We’re also excited to report that production on the power bank Bluetooth module will be finished within 30 days.

Look for the Survey this week —

We need to get a final count of backer who want a 110V or 220V version of the power bank, as well as the color of computer backpack. Please complete the survey by Friday, May 20th to prevent any shipping delays.

Relaunch —

For those of you waiting for other GoPlug offerings (i.e. messenger bag, everything backpack), the wait is over. Tomorrow, May 17th at 6am PST, we're preparing to launch a new campaign on IndieGogo. The GoPlug Smart Power Bank will be featured, however, each bag will be available as an "add-on" in the campaign. Initially we decided to launch each campaign independently, however, this would disrupt our production timeline and delivery dates.

We still have a few details to finalize but will send a preview link before the launch...

As always, if you have any questions, feel free to ask-- Lorri-Sue will be available to assist.

Thanks again for all your patience and continued support!

Hi, I´ve the same trouble as Ridzuan Ashim and Ryan Wallace. It´s been a long time I just don´t know what you need so I get the ordered bag.

Glad to keep following along this journey.

I have to ask though (something I missed in previous updates/info): could someone explain the difference between 110V and 220V? I wouldn't really know which one to choose.
I would primarily charge my phone and laptop with the battery if that helps.

Hi Josh, I sent a similar private message to Ridzuan Ashim... I was an original backer, but now that things have changed, I'm not exactly sure what the setup is for what we're getting, and how we go about doing that now that you've moved the other bags to another platform... Can you provide some instructions on what people need to do to receive their bags, and what each original backer level translates to in the new world?
Excited to see the progress! Thanks!

Great to hear things are going well!

I sent a private message sometime back wondering if you could list what exactly i'll be receiving? Could someone get back to me? it's been so long and there's been so many revisions that I can't remember what exactly i'm getting and if I should be backing anything from the upcoming launches that I might want but isn't in the original campaign.... Thanks!
