Dunkley Designs is a collection of 3D printable, modular cubes/tiles to be used with tabletop Role Playing Games. The cubes/tiles use a 1.25" design to allow extra space for your miniatures. The cubes/tiles connect together using a simple pin design.
All backers will receive the necessary STL files to print with your own 3D printer. No physical pieces are included.
Pyramid Cube Set
The Pyramid Cube Set includes all the STL files you need to build your own Pyramid.
The Pyramid is designed to have both outside walls and a playable interior.
The Pyramid Cube Set can be mixed together with the other sets to create a variety of structures. It can also be used with the Tile Sets that are available with Stretch Goals.
The Pyramid Cube Set offers 108 different STL files.
Mayan Cube Set
This set gives you the pieces needed to build your own Mayan Ziggurat.
The Ziggurat is designed to have both outside walls and a playable interior.
The Mayan Cube Set has two different versions of cubes, V1 and V2, that can be mixed and matched to create unique patterns.
The Mayan Cube Set can be mixed together with the other sets to create a variety of structures. It can also be used with the Tile Sets that are available with Stretch Goals.
The Mayan Cube Set offers 227 different STL files.
Stair Cube Set
The Stair Cube Set is included with both the Pyramid and Mayan Cube Sets. It offers three different types of stairs to add some verticality to your gaming table:
Step Pyramids can be created with the Stair Cubes.
The Stair Cube Set is meant to be mixed in with your Pyramid or Mayan Cube Set to allow your players to fight their way to the top of a temple.
The Stair Cube Set offers 108 different STL files.
I went with a simple pin design to connect the cubes/tiles together. Horizontal connections use a tri-pin design while vertical connections use a diamond pin design.
All backers will receive all Pin files.
Because I can't predict your 3D printer settings, there are three different sizes of each pin so you can find the right fit. It is recommended to use a loose fitting pin, as to reduce the risk of the pin breaking.
The best thing about owning all sets is the ability to mix and match the pieces to create unique structures and looks. Here are a few possibilities:
The Stretch Goals for this campaign will unlock Tile Sets that are compatible with the Pyramid Cube Set, Mayan Cube Set, and Stair Cube Set. The Tile Sets use a short wall design, so you can easily see your miniatures on the map.
Due to the high number of files, I have created the following Google Spreadsheet to organize it all.
This spreadsheet also shares printing information and details on the various files. Make sure to click on the different tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet.
Pictures are everything, so I've taken a screen capture of every file in Cura (Printing Splicing Software). You can view those pictures here:

Risks and challenges
This is my first Kickstarter, so I'm new to all of this. I canceled my previous attempt at Dunkley Designs in July to restructure some things based off feedback from my backers. All files that I'm offering in this campaign are already completed, so there is little to no risk that you won't receive your rewards.
My biggest hurdle is getting the STL files to you, which is a small task. Once again, all files are already created, saved, and backed up offsite, so once the campaign ends, I just need to transfer them to you and you can start printing.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
