Scrubby is a reusable notebook that is rugged and waterproof. Writing and drawing is super smooth and erasing leaves a pristine surface. Amazing cover art by homeless youth make this a notebook you’ll be proud to use…over and over again.
The Scrubby Notebook has 20 dry erase sheets (40 pages). Use it with dry erase markers and it works just like your whiteboard. Use it with correctable markers and the ink does not wipe away, but erases easily with the pen's eraser or a cloth.
It's perfect for brainstorming, taking notes, collaborating, solving problems, doodling, exploring ideas or playing hangman. Put it in the hands of a child and watch them make magic.
Exceptional Performance. We tested dozens of materials and coatings and ultimately had the dry erase material specially manufactured. Drawings on the super smooth surface erase easily and completely even if the ink is left on the pages for months (no "ghosting"). Ink does not transfer between pages and permanent marker (like a Sharpie) is easily removed with alcohol. These features make Scrubby the ultimate reusable notebook.
Rugged and Waterproof. What's the point of a reusable notebook if it's not made with durable materials? The rigid polypropylene cover can take a beating and since the pages are not a coated or laminated paper, the entire notebook is waterproof. This notebook will last.
Thoughtful Design Features. The transparent covers have a scratch-resistant matte finish on the outside, and a smooth surface on the inside. The smooth side can be used as another dry erase surface—use it to layer ideas on top of another sheet. The clear cover also allows you to flip over the notebook, create your artwork on the “last” page and use that side as your cover.
Social Benefit. Scrubby Notebook covers feature artwork created by homeless and at-risk youth. We are excited to give these talented artists a platform to showcase their work. A portion of sale proceeds will be donated to the non-profit organizations that serve these young artists. The four cover designs available here were the result of a design competition held with p:ear, an outstanding organization that mentors homeless and transitional youth through education, art and recreation (www.pearmentor.org).
Environmental Benefit. 100 Scrubby Notebooks used 100 times will save 200,000 sheets of paper. Plus, the covers are recyclable. We have been trying to source recycled content covers and hope to find a viable option for future production runs.
Made in USA. The materials used in the notebook are manufactured in the USA, and the notebooks are designed and assembled in Portland, Oregon.

Kickstarter Delivery Timeline
Risks and challenges
We have sourced all the materials, finalized every product detail, and completed a trial run of several hundred notebooks to make sure we are ready to immediately begin production when the campaign closes. Through this process we have resolved numerous challenges and developed a solid supply and production chain.
So, there is virtually no risk to fulfilling the early bird notebooks because we already have all the materials cut to size and ready for binding once backers select their preferred cover image.
To fulfill the rest of the rewards will require a new production run. We have vetted our schedule with the suppliers and we added several extra weeks to each stage for contingency—we are confident that we can meet our delivery dates. That said, there are bound to be challenges, and we will work through them efficiently and transparently.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
