The temp range of the IC used is 0C to +1000C. However, you will need to purchase a probe that can read that high. The probe used in the reflow oven is optimized for that temp range(300C Max, quick response). A probe that can read up to 1100C would be of high thermal mass and consequently not ideal for reflow ovens due to slow response.
Note the controller itself should not be placed in an environment above 50C due to the sensitive LCD display.
A convection oven with 2-4 Milky White Quartz elements should be adequate. I have not run into a convection oven yet with these elements that could not execute a profile with in the standards though slight profile tweaking may need to occur.
In the past I recommended far field infrared ovens but they are now very costly and hard to find.

1. A buzzer will be added, config in GUI
2. A status LED RGB will be added to front, config in GUI. Tricolor fade= sleep, Red fade = reflowing, yellow fade = cooldown, green fade = ready to use. (Good for loud manufacturing floors where buzzer will not be heard)
3. I plan to have a high current low side driver FET for a fan control input. My plan is for this to be a DC fan, not an AC Fan/Relay input, config in GUI
4. GPIO & UART interface for extended application, config in GUI
These are niche features I don't expect the majority of users to use. I don't want to add too many of such features in fears of over complicating a controller that is meant to be simple and easy to use. Let me know if there any features you are dying to have in rev 2 and I will certainly consider them.
