Friday the 22nd of April 2016 was a big day for the Future of Work and Death.
After spending essentially 10% of our current lifespan on this project (2.5 years), after all the late nights and 7 week edit binges and doing a terrible job of keeping our lovely backers up to date with what has been going on with the film. It is our pleasure to announce two wonderful bits of news.
We woke up on Friday to arguably the best email we’ve ever received. A distribution company in New York, who we have been talking to for a few weeks, have decided to take on the film for distribution in North America & Canada!
Later that day we received another email from the San Francisco Docfest, detailing that the film has been accepted to the festival which will take place on the 2nd-16th June 2016. This is our first acceptance into a festival and we could not be more pleased that the film will more than likely find it’s premiere at the epicentre of technological innovation, it’s kind of poetic.
So a good day with all things considered, thank you for being patient and for sticking with us!
We’ll hopefully be in touch with more good news soon!
