1,937 backers pledged $52,137 to help bring this project to life.

We made it!

Thanks to the generosity and dedication of our backers the Star Trek: The Next Generation pinball project has reached it's goal!  It's fitting that tomorrow is the 46th anniversary of the airing of the first Star Trek episode.  We're proud to carry on the Star Trek legacy- on behalf of the entire team here at FarSight Studios, thank you for backing us!  Star Trek: The Next Generation will definitely be coming your way!

We've been hinting that we'd make a licensing announcement if the project was successful, so here it is.  We are excited to announce that we've signed a license with Elvira, Mistress of the Dark to bring the amazing Scared Stiff and Elvira and the Party Monsters tables to the Pinball Arcade!  Elvira has been a longtime friend of pinball so this was not as difficult a license as the Twilight Zone or Star Trek.  Consequently we don't need another Kickstarter campaign to fund it- it's definitely going to happen!  Check out the video below!

There are still 8 days left in the Star Trek: The Next Generation project and we have some other high-profile licensed tables we'd like to digitize.  We will use any additional money we raise over the amount needed for the Star Trek license to go after these licenses (we're sure you know which ones they are!)

Thanks again for backing us, and thanks for your support of the Pinball Arcade- you guys are amazing!

Your pinball games are so good, I'm damaging my hands. Curse you, Farsight. Curse you to hell.

    9. Jonathan Leard on

Fantastic news! I understand that Kickstarter probably isn't your preferred way of doing business; funding the tables yourself is probably preferred, but I'm glad that more expensive tables can be brought to the masses thanks to funding drives like this. Keep up the fantastic work.

This is awesome! Glad to hear this is happening even without a Kickstarter. Thanks again Farsight!

Ok guys I signed because of Elvira, Are you going yo release that one as a single game or is going to be kickstarted?

    18. Ukulele ELVIS on

I just recently spent several hours playing on a scared stiff machine in a dive bar in El Segundo, CA. It was fun even in that condition. can't wait to play it like new!

And where did you film Elviria for this announcement? That girl never ages!!

Excellent, excellent news! Scared Stiff is one of my all time favorites and I can't wait to get my hands on Next Generation. Now if only we could get Doctor Who....

    23. Rob Peets on

Very cool congrats! Oh and nice job getting the Mistress of the Dark to announce her new digitized tables! One note however, it's the 46th anniversary of Star Trek... not the 48th! ;)

    24. Jason Newlin on

Awesome update, really looking forward to the new tables now. I would suggest not doing another kickstarter until after Twilight Zone comes out though. I saw several people refusing to back this project because the previous wasn't out yet. ... Glad i backed it congrats guys.

    25. Chris Adamson on

Great news… I played a heck of a lot of Elvira and the Party Monsters in college, and it'll be my second virtual version of the table, which was also digitized for "Pinball Jam" on the Atari Lynx so many years ago.

    26. clay young on

Congratulations on meeting the goal for TNG!!!! Still kinda embarrassed that we creeped toward the goal these last few days but, I'm just happy the table finally got funded. Now if they can just come out and say it already that they are trying to get acquire The Addams Family table......

Of course Elvira would be such a cool person. Great news! Now I have even more tables to anxiously await. Now, I wonder what those unspoken licenses are? My top 3 desired would be: Addams Family (which I know they want), Tales from the Crypt (for next Halloween perhaps?) and Judge Dredd (since the license needed would just be the comic book version of the character, I have to hope this is a possibility). Regardless, more good news for pinball lovers today!

    28. Garrett Archer on

Still a fan of you, Elvira! I'm happy to see that you support, among other things, the digital preservation of your classic pinball machines.
