If bags from India go straight to Canada, hopefully these get sent out when ready.

Pro Sash Island!!! Bikes and Sash Bags FTW!! Fingers crossed the magic of customs is addressed soon and shipping can begin! :) Thank you for the update.

Both my boyfriend and I work for the government. I'm paid from a different fund, so I am getting paid. He is considered essential, which means he's working, but won't get paid until after the shut down. Thank goodness I already paid for this, since we're living on just one salary right now. But it's all good - I've accepted it, and we'll be fine... But now it's messing with my dang deliveries??? That's just unacceptable!

    4. Orchid

Yay!! Are they in your hands now? :)

      "Hi Amelia,

Please note your freight is released from hold now.

I will pay storage through tomorrow and have this picked up tomorrow morning.

      Will keep you posted."

We got an email saying that they should be released tomorrow. Fingers crossed, y'all!!

Thanks for the kind comments and supportive response. I have come to expect nothing different from this crew, although I will continue to work to earn that support every day!!

@Janice and @Dolores Some of the bags have already been delivered, and the rest are on their way, so you shouldn’t have to wait much longer! I thought Sash did a great job of being clear up front that the bags would be delivered on time UNLESS they sold over 5000 bags (which they did, because they are awesome). Even with the huge production demands, they still delivered the first batch on time. Honestly, I’ve waited almost 2 years for a Kickstarter purchase in the past, so this timeline makes seems speedy to me!

@Dolores you might want to check the Sash FB page - Nichole wrote a wonderful article about the realities of US vs overseas manufacture. I leaned a lot from it!

I appreciate the heads up and Empathise with the delemma you are in. I am thinking this is the problem with buying from other than USA made. I am also aware that a lot of what we buy are from other countries. Test is really sad. If I had been aware that they were coming from outside our country I probably would not have gone in on this. I am hoping that this is the most wonderful bag around because this has put a very bad taste in my mouth for any other kickstarter item. I have been waiting a very very very long time.

Being held in customs for days you say?? Your company has taken months & months & a prepay to get the bags ready. Well, I hope I like the bag.

Thanks for the update. I would just like to correct one thing that people seem to believe. Canada Post does NOT strike very often! In 2011, they had their first strike in 14 years. The next one, as we know, was in the fall of 2018. Canada Post is usually very efficient and fairly fast. Usually. And fairly. There. I said it! lol

    17. Orchid

But we heard government was supposed to be all back to normal Jan1st?? Big bummer, so want a kickstarter sash! My classic is way too small

Love your message with the sense of humour, Nichole, makes it much more palatable. Thank you. I am a lucky Canadian duck, I guess, hoping that postal service will not strike for some time to come; otherwise I will have to contemplate to move to Coco-Sash Island, dancing, biking and being harmonious.

Thanks for the update, really appreciate it and all you're doing to try and get our Sash to us!
I'd rather be waiting for it than a paycheck that is for sure !
As for Canada Post, the strike is over, they settled, should be OK for a couple years ....
Thanks for all the hard work you and your team do for us !

Hi Thank you for the update. I can empathize. I am one of the 800,000 federal employees on furlough... while we experience all these interruptions to trade, and national parks being less staffed, some of my colleagues who haven’t saved for a rainy day are now having real concerns on how they will pay their upcoming bills. I will too if this lasts for months or years that was reported a few days ago.
Thanks for all your hard work and to everyone, including me, waiting for your orders. Thanks for your patience.

For those in US, please be informed and pay attention to current events and politics (not to the scandals), as un-fun as it is. Read the news from reputable journalists, not political pundits, right-wing or left-wing bloggers and talk-show hosts or social media. Don’t believe everything you see in cable news networks, either. This is one of many policy impacts actually happening in terms of global relationships, the economy, and the structures of our democracy at the national and state levels we need to keep watching and responding to with our legislators. Thanks!

Lol, Sash Island. Must be pet friendly, and ramp access to all buildings :-) Sorry for the impact of gov't shutdown on Sash! Wow, now I get the seriousness of the politics you face. Hugs!

No worries at all. I agree with the previous comment. We are fortunate to be waiting for our bags instead of our paychecks. It will be just as exciting when they do arrive.

As excited as I am to receive my new sashes, I can live without it for awhile. My heart goes out to those government workers who are going without paychecks.

It's always good to have a sense of humor and you do. Life will go on and the anticipation makes the prize even sweeter. Don't fret your pretty head over it. All in due time. XXOO.

Oh Well! Mine was going to be among the final ones in the entire Kickstarter of Sashes anyway. Maybe, we will all receive our Sashes together before Summer or Autumn of this year. Yippee!!

By what I figured from the last update, the FAUX leather bags should be coming in this week! Not sure if what is caught in Customs is Leather or FAUX... but I'm in Canada... and it's certainly hit and miss whether it goes through nicely or not🙄 I guess I'll just keep rotating my 5 leather with my 1 faux blush reptile... depending on the monsoon like weather😂

As much as this anticipation is killing me... I can’t imagine how frustrating this is for everyone at Sash! One glorious day we will receive our bags and all will be forgotten. Looking forward to the next Kickstarter!! ♥️

Ugh! Mine weren't in that shipment, but I hope this whole mess gets settled soon. Hoping for other things too, but I'll keep my politics out of it....😇
