Readying VLC on WinRT, part 2

So, here is another update about our port to WinRT platforms.

We've worked a lot on the audio crashes, and finally decided to rewrote the audio stack for Windows Metro platforms. Hopefully, this will allow us to finally pass the Store validation. This kept us busy during the holidays.

We've worked a lot on the interface, as you can see on the following screenshots:

You can find full resolution imagery and further shots here.

What you see is the current state of the application, that we are going to submit in the next couple of days.

Thanks a lot.

So how is it going with the submission to the Windows Store?

Disappointed to see the UI take a turn for the ugly compared to the mock-ups but super excited to see this project come to fruition! But I understand the differences between photoshop concepting and the realities of UX testing. Still, there were some really good ideas in those mockups I would love to see show up in future versions once functionality gets worked out.

Looking good. Two features that I use that I hope are included are Track Synchronization (for when lip sync is out) and Video Effects/Essential (to adjust the image for projection).
