One week ago I just update linux-desktop vlc and now have 2.2.0 with hardware acceleration and no ffmpeg lags. This is great!

Vlan org guys, instead of scolding Windows Phone users on Twitter, is it possible that you can actually post more updates to this project that's been going on for 2 years now. I backed this Kickstarter and would actually like to know the progress of the RT app now that the Phone app is still having issues?

    3. Carl Nelson on October 27, 2014

Can we have some news or answers on why we haven't been added and where this project has gone?

I really dont understand, i like to say you are fake, if i know that you should make RT version i should not backed you up, it has been more then 1½ year after estimated delivery and i have not got a Alpha yet to test. Why Windows RT, i dont have any numbers but i should think that there is no big business in Windows RT, as far as i know no one i know has buyed a Windows RT computer.

@John Ong: sorry for the crash in the initial beta. We pushed an update yesterday, which is available on the Windows Store right fixing this issue among lots of other bugs. Another update is forthcoming later this week!

    20. John Ong on March 17, 2014

This app isn't usable since it crashes on startup on my surface pro. It seems I am one of a handful of donators that's having this problem and wonder if there are any work around to this issue. I understand this is still in beta, but I don't think that even beta stage should perform better than this and I sure this setback is only going to delay the RT version even further.

@SardonicGorilla As they've explained, you cannot get an ARM/Window RT version without going through the process of converting the code to the "Windows RunTime" (WinRT).
The path really is (win32) -> (WinRT x86) -> (WinRT ARM) -> (WinPRT - phone)
You cannot do it in any different order.

Update regarding the ARM version :

To their defense they're not a company as such, just a bunch of blokes coding a really cool tool so i'm grateful for that. But it would only be polite to keep us informed as opposed to the random posts you can find on the PCInpact forums.
I dont get it. Even if it's buggy, just release it as a non-public app, and let the backers feel the love and feel that it was a good thing to give away some money.

I dont get it. Their communication is just so disrespectful. I made quite a big pledge and I really feel I've been ripped off.

You should tell microsoft remove from windows 8.1 store all apps that claim to be vlc, or which include vlc or videolan on his name, and that even they hover between the 3 and the 6.99 euros, that should not be allowed.
