Greetings!!!

I hope this message finds all of you in the best of health and spirits.  I can't believe I am actually typing this message. I have been thinking about doing it for a while now.

I just wanted to let you know that I have seen at least five (probably more) versions of Justice pon di Road as it is being designed. Our fabulous graphic designer says we are close!! That is music to my ears. It looks great and I am very excited about the "extra" stuff in the back of the books. I love the images that have been included to spruce it up. Some of my personal photos have been added which is great. Jamaica is such a beautiful place and I am happy to be able to give our readers another glimpse.

Also, I got the acknowledgements done, finally! For some reason that was harder than writing the book!!!! If you pledged $200 or more your name is listed. Actually, I thank all of my backers but those people were listed by name.

I have signed up to sell books at an Indie Authors Book event in Oakland on December 12th. Ambitious I know! We are trying to make that happen! PS Print has a seven day turn around time for projects so I think it's going to happen. If no books by then, I will be there with my JpdR postcards that I have been leaving all over town!!

I got a really nice email from an elementary school in Oakland. The principal is interested having me come to her school to read and speak with her students. That is exciting news. And my friend Katrina is opening a yoga studio in the Fruitvale district in Oakland ( https://www.facebook.com/AnasaYoga) and asked if I wanted to come to a reading at her studio. I told her I would LOVE to do an event. I like the idea of doing events in non-traditional places. My friend Jackie mentioned having an event in the recreation room of her condo building! She is a fabulous hostess (and cook) and it would be great to have an event with her.

So things are happening but we need a book first! I am sending my thoughts and feedback to the graphic designer tonight. Fortunately, he has been awesome with making changes and getting new drafts to me. I so appreciate that!!!

I will let you guys know the moment the book is sent to the printer.

Thanks for your support and stay tuned...more to come soon!!! Check out these illustrations.
