Belated Update!

Hey Everyone -

I know its been a while since I last updated (March?). It's been a busy few months, so my apologies if I have seemed absent. During this time I screened the film so far at my school. People responded well to it, and I'm proud of the work we have done so far. Here's the progress report:

- The first 4.5 minutes of the film are complete

- Visual effects for the entire film are about 95% complete

- The rotoscoping for the film is about 50% complete

As stated in the Risks and Challenges section, the biggest difficulty with this kind of project is knowing how long the lengthy post-production process will take. Predictably the answer is: longer than I might have hoped. However, because of the positive reception of the work in progress, I have been able to secure enough financing to keep working through September on the film, and to hire one additional rotoscoper (Auden the Annelyse, the old team, have, unfortunately, had to move with their lives). With almost all of the visual effects completed we will be able to focus exclusively on rotoscoping (we split the time up roughly 50/50 before), and get the film done by the end of September.

As I promised I will make the work in progress available to download for anyone who is interested in seeing it. I appreciate everyone's continued patience and support - and want to allow anyone who is interested to look behind the scenes at this lengthy and (slightly) tedious process.

Additionally - please let me know if you would like me to ship your reward and you are in one of these categories:

For obvious reasons rewards containing the actual movie are not available yet but all of these can be shipped if you would like.

Thanks so much,

I've seen a rough cut of the project, without the audio, and to all supporters of this project, I can report that it's a good investment. James's vision is fully intact in this film!

Rotoscoping takes so long so it's no wonder it's taking a long time. Congrats on getting a bit more funding through Sept! Looking forward to the final product.
