1. WHAT IS FRIDAY NIGHT BITES?
After three super-fun seasons and a great critical response to our original Kiwi comedy series that was described as a cross between Flight of the Conchords and Bridget Jones' Diary, we decided to quit FLAT3 while we were ahead... much to the dismay of our loyal fans. We heard your cries, and now we're back with a new weekly series called FRIDAY NIGHT BITES! It's all the fun and love of FLAT3 but shorter, sweeter, and lasting much, much longer.

The concept is simple: every Friday night, Lee, Jessica and Perlina will get up to some hijinks small and large. The end of the week can get... unpredictable. Hilarity ensues!
Our goal is to release weekly original comedy episodes over 6 months about how our Friday night went, inspired by real stories you tell us!
FRIDAY NIGHT BITES will be written and directed by Roseanne Liang, known for Banana in a Nutshell and My Wedding and Other Secrets. JJ Fong (Step Dave), Perlina Lau (Paul Henry Show), Ally Xue are set to co-star, and Kerry Warkia (Auckland Daze) serves as executive producer.
We'll be applying again for New Zealand On Air digital funding to make the entire FRIDAY NIGHT BITES series - however, applications aren't due until much later this year, and we need to have submitted an existing pilot. So what better way to convince potential funders than by making THREE PILOT EPISODES to test out the concept? You get a taste much sooner than Christmas, while we get to prove ourselves to the big wigs.
2. WHERE DOES MY MONEY GO?
Every cent raised will go towards paying our camera operators, sound technician, editors, music composer, post-production personnels... all the unseen heroes!
After shooting our entire first season of FLAT3 on less than a grand, we exhausted favours from generous friends. Now we want to be fair and pay our crew at least something for their hard work. Oh, and provide them with lunch for those long shoot days!
To put it simply - we will make three brand new pilot episodes for three thousand dollars. If you give us more, we make more. Every thousand dollars we raise above $3000 will go to an EXTRA BONUS EPISODE!
3. WHEN WILL IT BE RELEASED?
FRIDAY NIGHT BITES pilot episodes will be released through our YouTube channel as soon as they are ready, hopefully July. We'll go as fast as we can!
4. WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
This. Every Friday.
Also this. During the week.

Risks and challenges
We strive to make high quality work in a webseries format. We want to tell funny stories with faces that are diverse. Clearly this is something we love, but we all have day jobs to pay the rent. After making Season 1 of FLAT3 webseries with only $1000, we are prepared for the risks and challenges involved when filming big ambitions on a shoestring budget. While there are always unforeseen costs, we've learnt to stretch a dollar into ten.
Those are the challenges and we're ready for them. We promise to make it. And make it good.
