Getting Started

Hi my Cans family

John Kedzie and I are organizing all the work we did on Cans (4 years ago!) and getting it into a "Progress Board"

which is sort of like a storyboard, except it also includes any layouts that have been done. Once we have this whole board done, then we can see which scenes are ready to ink, which are ready to animate and which still need to be laid out.

It looks like this:

We also have to line up our staff so are starting to look for animators and inkers who are already good with Toonboom Animate.

I will keep you posted as to our process and thanks again!

Your best friend

John K.

      Hey John,

We got one of the drawings hanging on our wall, do you want me to copy it for you or did you before sending it to us? It's with Ernie holding a spoon and a disgusting face.

As an adult that never outgrew coloring I've always wondered, how does one become a professional inker? And what does that mean in the digital age - using the paintbucket tool really well? I've always been curious.

      Can't wait to see it!
I'd love to do some work with you some time, but i am not used to toon boom yet. If i know how to use toonboom well, then maybe i can join your dutch department with David de Rooij :) That would be Awesome.

These updates always put me in a good humor.

Which reminds me... What are the chances of your favorite fans getting some new Comic Book comic books?

I require more of those, please.

Sounds awesome John. If you are looking for animator help, I'd love to throw my hat in the ring. You can see some of my work at my website:

Congrats once again on making your funding goal. This is the way all cartoons should be made. By cartoonists and not SUITS. Cheers!
