RUBY and RED JADE Packs are going out tomorrow!

Dear Backers,

By now the majority of LAPIS LAZULI  and CAT'S EYE packs have been sent. I hope you didn't have problems receiving them. The last shipment of 101 packages caused some people at the local Brooklyn post office tell me a couple of expressive words. I didn't engage, remembering the old Arab proverb: The dogs bark but the caravan moves on. In this case the caravan is the 428 packages that have to move from my studio to YOU! May the dogs bark, but we'll get the job done!

Today we finished packing RUBY and RED JADE packs. We have 73 packages ready to sprint to the post office tomorrow. 58 with local destinations and 15 - international.

In the picture below you can see Masha cutting up old cardboard boxes to put inside envelopes with the drawings to make sure they don't get folded or otherwise abused. We all know that mailmen are focussed on delivering mail into the mailboxes. I am not sure what their creative solution would be when this particular envelope size may not fit in there. I pray to my Latvian Gods the mailmen don't make Lego structures out of the artwork.

Next week we'll start packing JADE PACK and ALEXANDRITE PACK. Packing takes longer that I'd like because we continue working on "Rocks In My Pockets" full time.

Below you can check out samples of drawings that we are sending.

THANK YOU for your support!

      Hi Signe and friends,

I got my "Cat's Eye" pack a while ago and watched all the material 2 times. Although I had seen some of your work before, this whole collection really let me see what a wonderful artist and person you are!
Best of luck and may all go well!

      Love, Janet Benn

I am combing my hair, shining my shoes, getting ready to herd my caravan of packages to the post office.
Ilze, I took your note to heart - I'll be ready to tell them off this time (they want me to buy this stamp machine for $10,000 rather than bring 100 packages to Post Office).
Sam, I always thought it was a saying from Bible, but when I looked it up it was credited to Arabs... The proverb makes me to think of global (international packages) meeting local (politics of Brooklyn Post Office).
Jud, your RUBY is ready and I put a neat little surprise there for you.

I am looking forward to sending the packages.
Can't wait for you to get them!

That's wild--I quoted that proverb this morning before I got this!

I think Israelis and Iranians use the same wording. Hey... something they can all agree on!

At the Post Office, if anyone makes another comment, you can say "I am concerned about your job security! We must all pitch in! "
