Alpha 1.5.2 and Tokyo Game Show
Hello, dear C-Wars Family!
It’s been a while! Thank you all for your patience. 1.5.2 is finally out! You may wonder why it took so long. Well, Loup has decided to restructure the entire game so we could make the missions easier with fewer bugs. As you might already know, we are a licensed developer for 3DS and PSV. The console development is right ahead of us, so we have to make sure what we do now is efficient and sophisticated, that way we can minimize the risks and time spent while developing the console versions.
In 1.5.2, Fenrir, your current Hero, no longer needs an enemy in front of him to launch an attack. You the players can make him attack anytime, just like in a fighting game. You have to control the timing though. Also, enemies' attacks will not be canceled if you move away, so be careful when you do "Dodge & Attack". Another remarkable change is the way we calculate the attack cooldown. Now Hero is free of cooldown [we want to test and see how it feels], and soldiers' attack cooldown can be restored while he is not attacking.
We did censor the item/treasure box/turret/mine features for now. Their designs need to be reviewed.
Feel free to download this latest version from our Backers-Only Forum [Please check update #16]. For non-backers, we will release it later.
One more exciting news to share: We will be part of the Indie Game Corner at Tokyo Game Show from September 19 to 22! Special thanks to one of our lovely Japanese backers who informed us about the opportunity. TGS provides only 50 booths for indie developers, and we are lucky enough to be selected.
Stay tuned for more updates and awesome news!
