Finally got my boots. Great boots. But still have not received belt I was promised for the long waits.
The last Kickstarter orders were shipped out last week. If anyone who hasn't received their boots yet still doesn't have them by the end of this week, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You've sent an email announcing that all styles are available in all sizes for ordering by the general public, but I've never received my boots. How much longer? Have you lost track of the unfilled original Kickstarter orders?
Finally go my boots today... I recieved no updates after I was told to expect a mid January delivery. Also BBC made the statement that all those who recieved the later shipment that "they would make it worth the wait"... How so BBC? I purchased the Barking Roughouts and they look good but are tough to get on and the bootstrings are too short.
I haven't received my boots either. Any update?
I still haven't gotten my boots. Is there any update on the deliveries? The original delay email said mid-January.
Got my boots. True they run a little big but keeping them. Sprayed with waterproof and wore them all day today. Comfortabl and look good.
I'd appreciate an update for the late deliveries.
I'm really sorry to have to be writing this, I had such high hopes for these boots when I first got them. They looked pretty cool fresh out of the box but unfortunately they ended up being a disappointment. The leather deteriorated on them very quickly and no matter how I clean it it does not stay clean for more than a day (and all I do with them is walk on the street).
The bottoms of the boots are already starting to come off and the boot are getting more hideous day by day. I don't think these boots are worth what they're asking for them and I just wanted to put it out there. I would definitely not purchase them again.
So I wanted to write a full review of these boots and this seems like a good spot especially since some of you are in the second round of shipment like I was.
Let me start by saying that I'm a Technician/Mechanic for Toyota and I've tried out and worn out a lot of boots. Recently I realized that my feet really aren't comfortable or supported in anything but a good pair of boots which is why I backed this project. So here we go.
I immediately loved the look of these out of the box. The Bison leather has a distinct look and an even better feel. I put the Navy laces in that they came with (at my wifes suggestion) and they look great. The leather is soft, almost to the point of being pre broken, which is great for me as I have a plate in my right ankle from a surgery years ago. The ankle is slightly larger which can make finding comfortable boots a full days search that ends in settling on the pair that is least uncomfortable. These boots laced up and wrapped right around that messed up ankle with no discomfort what so ever!
The insole is phenomenal. It has great support and cushioning. I was walking them hard today and barely noticed they were there. Which reminds me, they're light! This may not be a big deal for most people, but when you spend 8 to 12 hours a day in them it's a BFD!
Fit is good and the leather contours easily but after a break in I've found they run about a half size large. No problem there though as you can buy some simple air foam insoles at any store and make up the difference but still have the room needed for when your feet have expanded at the end of the day.
To finish this off I'll say that I bought these to wear as a casual day to day boot when I'm not at work, but I'm so pleased that I'm going to buy a pair strictly for work as well.
Just got my Bison Pull Ups yesterday and spent today breaking them in walking around the Field Museum. Love 'em!
Hi folks, just checking-in to inquire about a delivery estimate for the delayed shipments. Thanks.
Any updates on delivery?
Hey guys, I received my boots a while ago, but haven't been able to contact you, but I am swimming in the nines I purchased. How do I trade in for a size down?
Hey there guys - I'm among one of those who is getting their shipment in the second half of your production schedule (i hope to receive it this month, as you've mentioned). It sounds like some people are saying the boot is actually too big and that people should either get a half-size or a full-size down. I'd like to request my delivery to come in an 8.5 instead of my original 9.0, could you let me know if this is possible? thanks. . . just want to ensure i don't have to send these back...I am also interested in knowing if other customers than the one below have shared this sentiment from your point of view.
Just wanted to say that I received my boots a few days ago, and they're great. I agree that they seem to run large- I got an 8, which is what I usually wear, and they were definitely roomy. On the bright side, I just started using orthotic inserts, and they fit perfectly with those in, so it worked out. They're a really nice pair of boots.
I still have not received my boots. Can I get an update please?
I haven't received my boots. Any chance I can get a tracking number as well?
Just got my Night Wolf boots and I love them! Great job guys! Sorry to say I have to send mine back because they are too large. I ordered 10.5 like my other boots but I'm swimming in these! So much so I'm requesting a 9.5 which seems odd but I'll try. But damn these feel good and now I can't wait to get the right size!
@Panther Nuts @Daniel Watson: We're so glad to hear you're loving your boots! Thanks for sharing your feedback.
Just got my Night wolf boots too. So, for me, it's hard to get a good fit. I'm really a 12.5, so I usually size up to 13 but sometimes that's TOO big/loose. I thought these might be that way when I tossed them on. BUT that's because they're so light. Once I laced them on I jogged around my house, perfect! These are some of the nicest and most comfortable boots I've ever worn. Hope they can handle the Chicago winter.
Got my Night wolf boots today and couldn't be more stoked! Right out of the box, these are the best fitting, most comfortable, lightest, and best smelling boots I have ever owned. They feel like I have been wearing them for 5 years and I haven't had them on for 5 minutes. The craftsman ship is second to none. The comfort is unreal. Definitely gonna be a repeat customer. Thanks for producing such quality products in the USA!!!
@shilohtd Thanks for the kind words!
@John and Daniel - We are trying to get tracking numbers from our factory today. We will pass them along when we get them.
@Jon and Saransh - We're sorry that we aren't getting them to you on time. We are looking at including a few extra items that we can include with the boots once we get them out.
Any chance of getting a tracking number? Just wondering what the date what the backing date was to determine if the boots shipped or if there was a wait. Hoping to have them by the holidays. Thanks
Just to echo previous sentiments, i got two pairs, one for me, one for a gift. I wish I'd kept both or ordered another. These are super comfortable and on first blush they seem really well constructed. I'm looking forward to a more formal black number I can wear to the office as well as the derby the posted on their site.
Wait, Martin got his Night Wolfs? Are they shipping? A tracking number would make a great early Christmas present for me!
Have the same concern as @Jon here. Was hoping to get these sooner before the holidays.
Surprised and disappointed to find out my boots are delayed until January. In the last post you mentioned makingit up to those who have to wait. Any more on that?
Got a tracking # it was in my junk mail thanks guys!
Still no boots for me as well. Please send me a tracking #.
@Matthew - We just messaged you.
@Hamilton and Martin - Thanks guys so much for the kind words! We appreciate your support in this and are happy you are enjoying your boots!
Still no boots. Any way to track whether mine have shipped yet?
You can never be sure with kickstarter projects, but I should have trusted in the fact that this was an established boot company and backed it for the three boot reward. I backed for one pair of night wolf's and they are without a doubt the most comfortable boots I've ever owned. I am glad I can still get 20% off another pair, and also excited to know that if I'd paid $175 for these, I still would have felt like I'd gotten a steal. A job well done by the Brooklyn Boot team. I'd like to thank everyone involved for their hard work.
Got the boots! Look great, gf loves them. Wore them out in the rain today (without water-proofing) stomped through most of the day in them walking through puddles. Great fit, no leakage (just a testament to the good construction, not actually looking to do that regularly!). Will be cleaning and drying them tonight and hopefully will find some time to water proof them this week! Thanks a lot guys, this was great and I see good things for your future!
We just got back from our Factory after working hard the past few days on getting your boots out. We saw that we have A LOT of messages and questions so we will be getting back to everyone over the next few days. In the meantime here are the answers to a few of the more popular questions:
Boots - when are they coming? - As of today we have 610 of our 866 boots either on a truck being delivered in the next few days or in the hands of their owners. That number will be close to 700 by the end of next week. Sorry for the delay but we've been getting them in batches and are trying to ship them out as quickly as possible.
Exchanges - Please send all exchange questions to email@example.com. This is where we are processing exchanges and sending out return labels to those who didn't get them in their boxes.
Tracking numbers - We are trying to get a system together that will send out automated emails to people when their orders ship. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately, depending on how you look at it), most of you will have your boots before this system is in place. In hindsight, this is something we should have developed sooner but we didn't think about it with everything else going on.
Again, we are going to be getting back to everyone over the next few days. Be sure to check out our Facebook page as that is updated daily and will give you a better idea of what is happening behind the scenes everyday. We appreciate everyone's patience!

What's the shipping method? Any tracking available. I'm out of the country Friday through Monday - hopefully I don't miss delivery!
I ordered Grey Grizzly and they haven't arrived yet...should I be concerned?
I am so hoping mine come this week. Wish we had a better idea if they have been shipped or not.
Just got mine today.
No email, but I did get advanced notice from ups since I signed up for alerts a while back.
Boots look amazing and felt good on the first try on. Will test them out later this week after I get the water proofing on them.
Overall a great experience. Thank you.
Received my pair today & definitely was surprised! I've had a few leather products via Kickstarter that didn't quite fit their description as "premium", but the leather uppers look & feel great! I'm used to a different Vibram lug pattern & composite on most of my boots, but these Gumlites seem like they will hold-up just fine. Regardless, I'll give them their "true-test" this weekend, but I just wanted give a quick 'Thank You' & I certainly appreciate the quick turnaround.
Are you guy's sending out emails when you are shipping? Giving us a heads up? As you may surmise, I still have no boots and am sad.
Still haven't gotten mine - when can I expect?
@Chris, Paul and Matt - We are working on putting together a guide on our website. For now, be sure to treat them with a water-proofing spray to get the most out of your Rough Lands series boots.
@Zack Yes! Once we finish getting the Kickstarter rewards out, we will have some of our apparel items on our website for order.
Just got mine as well and they look great! I, too, was wondering if you had a care guide, or conditioning product recommendations.
By no means official, but from talking to two red wing boot wearer/fans/collectors, I've been told to treat rough our leather like suede.
