About
We are two very passionate people who want to take our ideas live!
The big Island of Hawai’i is a beautiful place to grow and produce the most delectable of foods. Things like dragon fruit, persimmons, mountain apple, and shampoo ginger, all things most of us have never even heard of let alone watched it grow.
We want to take advantage of the rich soil and perfect farming weather. While also offering a community need. And providing a luxury item to tourists as well. All while being OFF GRID and completely self sustaining
- The basis is a Permaculture food forest which will sell fresh produce to locals and dried products will be shipped to different states. A website will be the basis of most of the selling for this portion of the business.
- Shelters will be made for the homeless youth of Hawaii. We will offer fruits and veggies from our garden while they stay. Showers and kitchen will be communal. Each child will be worked with individually and taught the skills of self sustaibilty and how get there so they will be able to grow and produce there own food in the future. This will be offered on a emergency basis as well. Educational classes for basic skills will also be offered.
- Online and in person permaculture classes
- Educational Flow Reatreats for all. Singles, couples, families, or friends. We will create a website to explain this in much detail. To get an idea please check out the $1,000 donation pledge award. We will create a luxurious space for flow retreat guests to stay in. And they will vary in price based on amenities and size.
- internships/ volunteer/ worktrade/ and WWOOF opportunists will be availabe even before ethe garden has statree! We need help setting up. So if you make it hawaii. Let us know!!!
You may be asking how we plan to accomplish this.
It will all start with some seeds, sunshine and a little love. And of course, Money.
Please read on to learn about Caleb and myself:) and to see How we will spend money. AKA the details!

Who we are: Caleb and Aeilla (eye-ell-uhh or I-Ella) 23 & 22 years young, madly in love and suffering from anxiety. And excitement rules our home now that we are Expecting our first kiddo in October. We have yet to discover the gender!
Accompanying us in our little growing “pack” are our 3 service animals all of The husky breed. Odd , Chewbakka & Bleach

These animals help Aeilla in day to day tasks due to her Disabilities. Which don’t stop her from constantly smiling and working hard to help the environment. We explain this because a lot of folks ask! Because she looks mighty healthy to the first glimpse.
Aeilla is a homebody/gardener/artist. She went to school to be a veterinary technician but was in a car accident in 2012, only a year after starting college. And was unable to finish due to being bed ridden and on a strict physical therapy “regimen.” This has caused her lifestyle to shift a bit and hence the major attraction to artistic outlets like art and gardening. Which quickly grew into self sustaining in all forms.

Caleb is a hard working and inventive small business owner whom is just starting out doing landscaping and tree falling in the local area. A skill that he can easily take with him to Hawaii. All while still working a full time job to help with the costs of a pregnant wife and business! His craft is Tree Falling and Landscape Design. Although he studied for fabrication engineering. He finds more joy in nature then machinery these days. He practices martial arts and also has multiple black belts to be proud of.

Together we plan to make our slice of the world a little better place for our kiddo and future kiddos! This will not be our first project, we have remodeled many houses and want to start a permanent situation now. But first we need our slice! So..... we need some help!
Heres our plan: we are not asking for help with even half of this list! This is purely to show you what our plans our. Using pur own funding from our jobs and savings as well as selling everything we own before leaving!
. Sell off most of what we own after having our kiddo :) excluding our centimental stuff. We will have that shipped so we will profit from selling our things but it will cost about $800 to ship the remainder of our things. -$800
. Fly to the big island of Hawaii with our service animals. Luckily they are free to fly with! We will have them all papered and up to date on shots before leaving so no worries there! The costs are for Caleb and Aeilla and there yet to be born kiddo! Yes they charge for infants-$1,000
. We may need to rent a space for upwards of a month while building our geodesic dome home(see later) this means utilities too... unless we find an off grid rental -$900
. Purchase a plot of Raw land no smaller than 3 acres on the Big Island of Hawaii. -Under $10,000

we will use this website to buy land! Very accredited by locals we have spoken with :) www.hawaiilife.com
. Purchase tools to hand clear land since we will have sold all our tools(unless we have enough room to ship) and there is jungle everywhere on the island:) we will clear with the best intentions and leave as many natural plants as possible. These are tools like chainsaws, limbers, files, shovels, takes, machetes, etc -$1,000
. Lay a path to homesite and garden site made of any cut down materials to level the ground below and then bring in natural rock to make stable. Tools needed for this are renting the truck to dump the rock and a wheel barrow to lay rock as well as heavy duty shovels, and the rock, etc- $3,500 house in Hawaii are normally unpermitted as it is.
. Lay pier block foundation and needed materials -$1,500
. Rental of boom for 2 days to lift th main center post/log of foundation into place because it will weigh over 800 lbs. -$350
. Wood and stain for deck of house where geodesic dome will be set on top to prevent flooding- $4,000
. The dome kit itself!and below is link to a video showing where I got the idea! And what we will be doing for the most part! This is all a self install and :) and is just the kit we have to build the guts later. -$8,500

. Propane tanks and a vehicle to drive around the big island to get supplies- $5,500

Risks and challenges
We plan to endure a lot of challenges in the process of the project getting started.
Nature is our biggest issue when on the islands of Hawaii. Volcanoes, hurricanes, and rain. All something that happens everyday. And we may have to rebuild. But the benefits of that are much greater.
We may encounter ill fit volunteers. If that’s the case, we will politely kick them off of our property
