I have really struggled to get out and running, but have used Vi lots just as a headset both for listening to music and chatting on the phone. This is where I have a problem. While I LOVE Vi my friends absolutely hate her, a lot of the time they go as far as asking me to not use the headset because the sound gets so bad on their side...
Unfortunately, I never actually received my reward. Could you guys check out if anything went wrong with my shipment?

I was thinking hey I need to go run with Vi here soon, I've been taking a break for far too long.
I set her to updating from version 01.01.01.02 to 02.03.03.00 and a few percent into this because it said for faster update make sure she's fully charged. Shit, checking battery level medium. So I plugged her into my PC's USB port, the way I usually charge her.
The upload progress continues according to the app, this isen't a problem right? she can charge through USB and update/ get uploaded additional intelligence at the same time?
I really really hope I diden't screw it up.

Thanks for getting back to me about the rowing. That open training support sounds like a good option. Tracking heart rate, would it allow me to put in the same type of requirements as with the running? Giving me insights, talking to me etc? How would it work? If you need any feedback or a guinea pig for that, let me know.
I'm getting the same error as Tom Alby was getting with bass boost although I'm on an android. app version is 220.127.116.11 and earphone version is 2.03
Hi Michael Thomas Lennon- Yes absolutely. During that two-hour initial calibration process, we are collecting data points on all your metrics including your heart rate zones, then continue to adjust each workout as your fitness levels change. Vi is always adapting and personalizing her coaching for each user.
Hey David Lim- This is an interesting case you've brought up as we haven't seen anything related to earbud behavior changes after each charge. We did alert the R&D team and they will look into this further but have some questions for you first. The support team will be sending you a message to follow-up. Thanks!
Any idea why would the ear bud behave differently after each charge? Has been monitoring it and it seems to be toggling between non-responsive to the tap on the ear bud down to not working with the Spotify.... pausing of the music playback when "step to the bit"...etc just to name a few. Your comment please...
It fixed itself so it's all good. It was just a weird error. But I am looking forward to the working tracking based on my heart rate. Though that makes me wonder are you going to set it up to be based of the person's normal heart beat Parameters to tell Vi when to start tracking? Because not every one has the same heart beat baselines. When I walk for over a mile my heart rate gets up to 185 or so to me that's normal but to others I don't think it would be. Just food for thought.
Hi Richard- Implementing a full rowing mode would take a lot of work on our end because of all the content that would need to be recorded, new rules to be created, app development, and more. But we are working on an open training mode in which Vi will train you based on your heart rate. This will allow you to use Vi for any type of workout, including rowing!
Hi guys, just a quick request (probably been mentioned before) but how easy would it be to implement a rowing scenario to Vi? When I backed the project, what seems like years ago, I was fully intending to get my ass out and run or at least use the treadmill, but due to a series of sports related leg injuries, I’ve found this restricted however rowing is a more viable option for me. Any thoughts on a sneaky bit of rowing action.....

Hi randomly stopped in the middle of a run and didn't save the data just restarted the run. Any ideas?
Hi Nick- Yes, you definitely can! As long as the other user is logging into their own app account before they go running with your Vi, none of your stats will be affected.

I'm sorry if this have been asked before, going through and not being able to search through kickstarter comments can be annoying.
At some point I would like to give my father his own Vi, he's just as much a runner and enjoying the sport as I am, and he's even better than I am. I've run 13,3 km as my maximum he's run a half-marathon.
Can I use Vi with multiple profiles? let him try it out essentially, without screwing with my own running stats?
Can you guys respond to my support ticket? I'm not getting much response after the initial reply.

My headphone is not turning on and it’s just been blinking when being charged. I looked at some of the community forum and it seems to be a known bug, but I can’t turn the headphone ON. Could you please advise?

After you update you should have a greatly improved experience with Vi! The latest versions are iOS 1.4.1 (4) and Earphones 02.03.00.00. Hi, now that it's winter, what's the likelihood of getting more sports added to Vi's repertoire like cross-country skiing, skating, or downhill? That would be awesome and help me use Vi more.
I am above to give my Vi the throw into the trash (as it never works for me, honestly a terrible product as didn't hear my commands, guide me, or track HR properly, trouble with music as well). That sounds amazing, I haven't unfortunately been keeping up with Vi's update progress, specifically what they contained.
I know what my new years resolution is now, get my ass in gear and run with Vi.
I knew she had been getting a bunch of updates since I ran with her last and I've been meaning to go for a run to figure out what these are.
We don't have video or roadmap for this because iOS and Android are now fully aligned and we intend to keep it this way! We were able to align both platforms with the release of our Unified Trainer. You can switch to any phone you want. Your data and running logs are stored on our server and will populate in your app when you log-in.
Is there an article or better yet a video detailing the gap if any in using Vi with an Android and using Vi with an iPhone? If it's not there yet is there a roadmap for when Vi's capabilities/features whatnot will be identical on Android and iPhone? I got the impression around the time I got her that there was a bit of a gap I'm not sure if that's still the case. In addition what happens if I change to a new Android device? or switch from Android to iPhone? is all the data and running logs and so on stored on a server and synced using my login?

Im assuming Vi uses a lithium battery? If so, you shouldn't store it long term (6+ months) at full charge... Lithium batteries last longest when stored at around 50%
Hi David Dopen- Vi should turn on just fine after a period of not using her. You can try and turn it on without charging if you want or just charge Vi until the blinking green light turns steady indicating it is fully charged. Let us know if you need any additional help!

Hi Kat- Unfortunately this is a known bug that is occurring since our app update and the iOS 11 update. The good news is we actually had a break today in solving it! But we still need some time. Usually just turning your phone on and off will fix this (for some strange reason) or uninstalling and reinstalling the app can help. I am having no luck with Vi since the last update....it is not functioning at all
with the app, It will work with my music but I don't get any of the interface of the app or training...this has been going on for a few weeks....I've rebooted, I've let it go on to see if it is an issue with the download...but it is stuck on "updating intelligence 100%" Can anyone help...I miss my trainer....

I am having an impossible time getting my Vi headphones firmware to update :( also where can I buy the little metal clips that help adjust the cord length ?
@LifeBEAM I fixed it, but only because I have a rooted device. Had to delete all folders related to the app and then it worked.

Hi Vi Team, I have downloaded the new VI update on iOS. However, the apps refused to start. It keep showing "update intelligence - 0% ~ 100%" and then it just got freezed.
Attempt to close the app and restart, the app shows the usual VI logo and with a tiny spinning ring that kept spinning non stop but the apps just don't load.
Any fixed to this?
