Enid was inspired by real life doctors. David Brana wondered what would happen if you took one of these real hero's and put them into a fantasy story with horror elements. In a world of monsters and magic these Healers would have to be skilled to survive. Using there knowledge of dark forces, language, medicine, and spells they are as helpful as they are a threat to true evil.
"I chose a young woman because the female figure seems very interesting to me when developing stories, I have already written other scripts, such as the series 'DOS' (published in Spain by Drakul) and 'The Worlds of Akalanna' (in preparation), where the main protagonists are women and also young people, because it seems to me that the youth adds a point of unconscious courage, vulnerability and audacity, that adult characters do not have, and that works well in some stories, as in the case of The Healer." -David Brana

Risks and challenges
The Healer is a title originally written in Spain. Along with starting an open comic universe with other titles including Charmer, Mongrel City Rumble, and Angel and the World Enders we have the challenge of translating a title from Spanish to English and helping it get shared to a larger audience. This campaign is to help with a starter print run and begin the process of distribution for the Healer.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
