Hurricane Lasers has a new mission. Make imported lasers easier to use. LaserCut Software is the industry standard for imported lasers. It has many great functions, but no one knows how to use it. It is in metric which we do not use in the United States. At Hurricane Lasers, we decided to change all of that. Not only should we make the drawing software connect to the Laser directly, but we want to include a printer driver that will allow our users to seamlessly process work from the design phase in Corel, Adobe, AutoCad etc to the laser for output. And while Lasercut 5.3 is a very capable program it has very little documentation for the English market and is not seamless from the drawing stage to downloading to the laser.
Here is our solution:
We have partnered with CADLink to develop LaserLab that will include custom drawing software with a direct link to Leetro Control boards. This can be used to replace LaserCut entirely without having any hardware to purchase. CADlink Technology has been developing industry-leading design and production software, such as EngraveLab, for over 20 years with offices in Canada, the US and Europe. We are confident that this will be an incredible product with great support.
The funds raised in this kickstarter will allow us to develop the software that we and the laser community desire. Finally, a laser engraver and cutter that everyone can afford!
We started Hurricane Lasers to bring the best customer service and the greatest value to the laser community. We have the most complete lineup of lasers available in the market place. We begin with our Allison laser with a 12x12 engraving area and a 40W tube allowing virtually everyone to own a laser! Only know how to use Corel Draw? You will be able to download directly using the new print driver or use our new software LaserLab.
From there our lasers increase in power and size from our 40W Agnes 16x12 to our 150W 4ft x 8ft Christopher. These machines weigh from approximately 200lbs for Agnes to 2000lbs for Christopher. They are heavy sturdy well built machines, just ask the hundreds of satisfied customers that have purchased Hurricane Lasers since November 2011. With the new software - it will be more user friendly than ever before!
While our machines are top quality there are definitely refinements and changes that we would like to make based on customer feedback. Some of these include pass through doors, where possible, from front to back to allow large materials to easily fit in all models.
We are adding LED lighting on the gantry to provide outstanding durable lighting. The autofocus currently provided with the machine needs to be redesigned. It is clunky and can get in the way of the material.
The funds raised in this kickstarter will allow us to make these engineering changes. All of the lasers in this kickstarter will come with the following:
NEW SOFTWARE!! Laser, Exhaust Fan, Air assist, Air compressor, Water Chiller (Water Pump with Allison) Wheel style Rotary attachment, Chuck Style Rotary attachment, 1.5, 2.5 and 5.0 lenses to allow for optimum cutting and engraving of all materials and delivery in the 48 continental United States. Our Customers are always asking about training. In addition to developing our own tutorials, we are partnering with one of the biggest names in the industry, LaserBits. They have their own online training series with Laser University. Hurricane Lasers will be featured in their new series on glass laser tubes. Our customers will be able to log on to LaserU and receive training as soon as they receive their laser.
