We want to make a family comedy film for all ages that contains important life messages that is rarely seen in film today.
"The Brothers Kasparov" is a family-oriented comedy feature that not only entertains viewers of all ages but sets positive examples by delivering important messages to the younger viewers regarding personal responsibility and respect.
Our goal with The Brothers Kasparov is to create an insanely funny and often ridiculous film with strong life lessons just as most 90's family comedies did. We all agree that those films have slowly vanished and all we want is to bring them back with our own humor and entertainment value.
This 'clean-style' of film making began a little over two years ago for us. 'The Altar Men', Todd J. Lajoie's last student film project, is our first full-fledged attempt to make a film with good morals and ideals along with no swears: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6X6qOsii1Rg
We've also entered into various forms of film competitions and have implemented our ideas and humor even with their strict limitations. This is what happened when we were stuck with a horror: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jd7uqJhWScs
'Charlie and the Hamster Eggs' is another over-the-top comedy made for a wide audience: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MV_8Xknxs0o
We also have other films that we have made but are NOT family friendly. If you'd like to see them anyway, here are a few:
With the help of Kickstarter we can make our family feature and stick with the same people we've always worked with. This would be our dream come true and we couldn't appreciate anyone's help any more!
Nothing feels better than being able to relax with your family and laugh together. Thank you, Kickstarter!
Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
We completely understand that films run into issues, we have seen this on LITERALLY every set. No matter how much you plan, something goes wrong.
We don't panic because we ALWAYS have a back up plan. In regards to locations, we have more than enough options and the locations are either property of personal friends or we can easily get permission again considering we have worked with the city/state on many occasions and have a great reputation with them.
