First things First:
You make this possible.
With your love, kindness, generosity and support, this collection of songs will be brought to life and shared far and wide.
Thank you very much, from the bottom of my heart.
I am an auntie, a niece, a daughter, a sister, a waitress, a teacher, a friend and a lover of all things joyful and fun! I live in Seattle where I sing, write, play guitar, perform and make music. Music is everything to me!
I'm here to make my second album, title yet to be determined.
In the words of Seattle's own musician/producer Erik Blood: "I can't NOT create music."
My mind is constantly buzzing with thoughts, observations and melodies. My entire life I've been drawn to music, singing, writing and performing. When a new idea for a song starts pulling at the corners of my mind, I consider it almost a sacred duty to sit down and listen to it and to let myself be pulled.
I've written a lot of songs this year about what I see around me: about the current political confusion we're feeling in the U.S., about the stuff closer to the heart that we all know too well... things like feeling lonely or missing someone or watching someone do something they're really into and feeling in awe of them for it (and maybe just a bit jealous too!).
This collection of songs came from my heart and soul. Music is deeply personal to me. Sometimes life gets overwhelming and it’s hard to see and feel it all and to know what to do. Making music is what I do about it and it helps me. Music has such a subtle and powerful way of bringing us peace and joy, and sometimes even unity. The world needs music. We're all in this together so here's to hoping it’s helping you too!
Inspired by you, for you, this collection of songs is for us all.
How I got here:
I released my first album in 2015 with the help of a successful kickstarter campaign. I've grown a lot since then, played with a lot of musicians and just in general, learned a lot.
The other big life change that directly affects this album is that I met my partner Jeff Fielder, who plays guitar alongside Mark Lanegan and Amy Ray (Indigo Girls). As we got to know one another, the music collaboration developed naturally between us. It became clear that this next album was going to be one that we made together. So here's a little look at what got our wheels turning.....
Jeff and I were in awe of the 80's throw-back synth sounds on the show, Stranger Things. We were taken by the very lovely and very visceral music of the French band, Air, plus a whole other array of new and old amazing artists that hooked our imaginations this past year. (Courtney Barnett, Paul Simon, Jim James, War on Drugs, Phosphorescent, Velvet Underground etc etc..)
With a roomful of electronic and acoustic equipment, my songwriting, two voices and a guitar, Jeff — donning his producer hat — and I put our heads together and this album began to take shape.
It has been a very collaborative effort between us.

Risks and challenges
This project's only real perceived risks and challenges are the potential for a shift in its completion date.
Any project can experience unexpected set backs and delays. This project's timeline is firm, while allowing flexibility for unforeseen factors.
Such unforeseen factors could include having to push back the mastering date because of conflicts in scheduling, or having to push back the pressing of vinyl or CD because of an error made in the art or design, or any number of other possible conflicts that could potentially arise, causing the overall completion of the project to be set back.
Keeping all of that in mind, we feel we have been thorough in researching the amount of time needed to accomplish each step of this project's goal to achieve the project's release date of September.
Now is your opportunity to support this project and see it through to its completion!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
