Point & Clickbait is already the internet's number one source for true and accurate gaming journalism. But wouldn't it be even more true and accurate if it was... a magazine?
That's right - if this Kickstarter is successful, you'll soon be able to read Point & Clickbait from the comfort of your couch - a level of luxury previously only available to people who own laptops, smartphones or tablets.
Did you enjoy articles like Ubisoft Game: The Review, or Pigeon Trapped In Games Workshop Office Receives License To Make Warhammer Game? What about our exclusive interview with GamerGate leader Milo Yiannopoulos about the time feminism locked him out of his car, or the patch notes for the Warcraft movie?
That's right - you can get a whole magazine full of stuff like this:
All of our best stuff from the year of 2016 is here - and it's ready to hold in your handsome, perfectly manicured hands.
- All of the best* and funniest** jokes from 2016 PLUS never before seen content!
- 88 incredible pages, saddle-stitched for your pleasure
- Beautifully laid out to impress YOUR guests
- Full colour magazine
- Professionally printed by local legends
** Definitely not guaranteed
The book is already completely designed and ready to go, so the Kickstarter funds will simply be used to pay for the up-front printing costs, the shipping costs and the labour costs. That's it!
In addition to any physical copies received, every level of pledge will score a full-colour, DRM-free copy of the PDF to do with as you wish. It's yours to keep!
Please remember that all pledges are in Australian dollars (AUD). This should hopefully mean a good deal for people from places like the US, the UK and Canada where you have a real currency.
The magazine will be printed locally in Australia and then shipped out worldwide.
There are no stretch goals or other fancy stuff this time around, my friends - just a simple magazine that needs your help to get off the ground. Thank you for your support!
How many copies are being printed?
The goal amount is for a print run of 500 copies. That's the minimum scale necessary to make the whole operation viable. Everything beyond that is a bonus!
What if we don't make the goal? Can I still buy a PDF?
If that happens, once I am finished crying, I will put the PDF up online somewhere else to purchase. Don't worry!
What's with the postage costs?
Postage will be handled by Australia Post, who are notoriously expensive for international shipping. I am sorry about that.
Fortunately however they charge in 500 gram 'blocks', which means it's cost effective to group shipping of 3 copies or more if you wanted to split copies with friends!
Can I have more than 3 copies at a time?
Yeah absolutely, you goddamn legend. If you'd like more than 3 copies please send me a message or email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) and I'll get back to you with a correct pledge amount.
Risks and challenges
The PDF is already done, and we just need the funds to print it.
The printer is one that I've worked with regularly, and they always deliver quality product.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
