New full-length album, "Leap Year"
$2,577
40
At long last, the recording of my first full-length album, Leap Year is finally finished! BUT, to bring it to your ears, I need your help!
Even though I did all of the recording myself, there is much more that goes into making a professional, high-quality album, such as mixing, mastering, and printing the physical CDs.
With your support, I’m hoping to raise $2,500 to help produce Leap Year. If we can reach that goal, I’ll have the funding I need to make the album a reality. If we don’t reach the $2,500 goal, your pledges are returned to you, and the fate of the album is uncertain.
I need your help to make my first full-length album. Please pledge generously, and share this project with anyone you think may be interested. I know you're going to enjoy this record, and I can't wait for you to hear it! Thank you so much for your support!
You should probably have a sample of what I'm asking you to invest in. Here's a sneak peek of a few raw tracks from the record:
A while back, I found myself having a lot to say about life, love, and the pursuit of happiness. I had so much to say in fact, that I wrote this entire album in a span of a single month. By comparison, before this album I had written about ten songs. Ever.
The flurry of creativity was such a welcome addition in my life that I found myself wishing the month was longer than 28 days. Hence the album title, 'Leap Year'.

Once I finished writing the songs, I figured the hard part of making an album was over. I was wrong. It's one thing to write a song, it's another to record it in a way that lives up to its maximum potential, and is something you can be proud of. So while writing the album only took a month, recording and arranging it took the better part of two years. At long last, all the songs are recorded and are ready to be heard by all of you!

Risks and challenges
As far as records go, I think this one is about as low-risk as it gets, being that it's already recorded! I'm doing my best to make sure the album is delivered in December, but sometimes there are unexpected delays with album artwork, mixing, mastering, or printing. That said, none of those things would prevent the album from being completed, only possibly delay the release date. At this point I'm not expecting any delays though.
