Rewards Shipping Update
Hey Guys!
Just a quick but sincere apology about the delay in posting this update. We were waiting for a schedule confirmation from our manufacturer about micro-USB and really wanted to include that info in this update. Thank you for your patience!
Shipment Update in August
Thank you for all your feedback in the past few weeks. For those of you who have already received your rewards, please share your user experiences with us! We appreciate honest feedback, it will help the other backers to get a better understanding of ZNAPS and help improving it in the future. We are getting lots of comments, emails and private messages from individual backers asking for the exact date when their ZNAPS will ship or arrive. We are trying to reply all of the enquiries as soon as possible but in the meantime, we have to focus on getting the rest of the rewards ready for shipping.
So far, we have tested and shipped over 400 ZNAPS rewards and approximately another 10,000 will be made and shipped to our backers in the coming few weeks.
Backers will receive an email from Shopify to inform you the tracking number. As a temporary precaution measure, we’ve been sending out another shipping notification email to our backers to confirm the tracking numbers again. Until now, we still have to assemble ZNAPS by hand so please bear with us for the slow production rate. A larger batch of ZNAPS is expected to be effectively shipped to our backers soon.

Update on ZNAPS Micro-USB
We have just received the internal components for the Micro-USB adapters from our manufacturer. We were lucky to have slotted production after we worked out all the kinks for the lightning adapters or we would have encountered double the errors with the pogo pin fiasco. We will start testing next Monday and the lead time for Micro-USB to be be shipped out is approximately 30 days from Monday. Both black and white versions will be ready. After that, we will start handling the special edition rewards.
Alert Notification from iOS Devices
Some of the iPhone users might have encountered the following notification pop up on their phone screens as they start using ZNAPS:
Please go ahead and dismiss the message as this will be a one time notice as long as the connector remains in the charging port. This will not affect charging/data synchronization.
You may also try this: connect your cable to a power source, then attach the ZNAPS adapter and connector to your cable. Now plug the connector, with adapter and cable still attached, into the charging port of your phone. No wait 30 - 60 seconds before disconnecting the adapter from the connector. The above notification won't show up.
Quick Word About Magnetism
As discussed before, ZNAPS' magnetic strength was never meant to be strong enough so you can swing your cable with your phones remaining attached at the end without ZNAPS disconnecting. One of the basic uses for ZNAPS is so that won't happen. ZNAPS was designed so that it will disconnect when there's a sudden tug, which prevents your phones from flying around when you trip over your charging cables. ZNAPS was designed to protect your mobile devices. With that said, we do apologize for the variation in magnetic strength some of you are experiencing. If you feel that the magnets in your ZNAPS is not up to standard, then please email us at cs@znaps.net or PM us here. We will definitely investigate to see if some magnets are weaker than intended.
Also, please also note that if the magnetic strength is too strong, it defeats the purpose of the magnetic connection, because the connector can be pulled directly out of the charging port. (Please watch the video in "Update #37 Why ZNAPS?" for reference)
Change of Shipment Address or Order
If you’re still waiting for ZNAPS, please note that address update and order change are still available to our backers. We are so sorry for the unexpected shipment delay and we understand that some of you might have switched from iPhone to Android phone or found a new job in another state or country. Therefore, we are open to any address change request and we promise that it will be handled promptly. On the other hand, order change might lead to longer waiting time depending on the order’s complexity but we welcome any order changes if needed. You can either send an email to cs@znaps.net or PM us to make the changes.
Warm Reminder to Our Distributors
As mentioned in our previous update dated July 4th, we are still waiting for some of the distributors to verify their mailing address by replying to our email. Due to the large quantity of units, we feel the need to double confirm your mailing address before shipping it out. If you haven’t received our confirmation email, please contact us at distributor@znaps.net.

While I understand that Kickstarter is not an online shop and that I contributed to production of the ZNAPS, I also backed a Kickstarter project that promised an estimated delivery of Nov 2015, short of one month off of a year, I still have not gotten the ZNAPS. It has been so long at this point I do not even have a MicroUSB phone anymore. I am not going to the back of the list. I am respectfully and understandably requesting a refund.

So sorry I ever was stupid enough to believe this would ever get made. You all should be prosecuted for your ineptness and outright theft of people's money. Any reputable company would have offered people refunds at this point after years of delays. You should be ashamed of yourself for being so dishonorable in your business practices.

Wait, what is this thing again? Did I pledge to support this? I don't even remember doing it! I think it was 2 years ago and I've gone through 3 phones since then, and no longer have a micro USB connector. But that doesn't matter, because they haven't even started to make the micro USB ZNAP.
So really, it feels like TODAY is the start of my backing of this project. From this update, it looks as though the micro USB version will be completed within the year. So it will only have been a year in ZNAPS time! (instead of 3 years in human time).

My 2 cents here, not much of a ranting but my honest opinion.
OK, so they made way with 3mil+ to develop a product that (for the lightning part) will be of no use anymore. iPhone 7 event yesterday, since apple parted ways with the 1/8 jack to use the lightning connector for sound, Znaps would become only good for charging/syncing the newest devices, I consider myself in the majority that still uses connected headphones, hey my beats studio still works pretty damn good and I won't get wireless ones just for the sake of it. Now I can cope with the lightning to 1/8 adapter, no way I want this to disconnect tough... So what's the use now for Znaps? Keep it for the iPad and the older phones that make use of the lightning connector solely for charging/syncing?
Nonetheless, the concept was/is good, call it whatever you want, if the adapters are truly MFi certified, they might work, according the magnetic hold is strong enough to withstand having my phone in my pocket and listening to music while walking...
As far as the communication in this campaign goes, I can understand the delays, the different issues they went thru, the hardware problems, I did backed an idea, with a potential reward at the end. I was "apparently" one of the lucky 300 backer for the beta test (December 17 2015!), never received anything on this (other that the email confirming I was a Lucky Beta Tester). I have received the "Please confirm your address" email last week (!). Maybe this time I get lucky and finally receive something, worse part, gonna make some odd-looking fridge magnets.
On a engineering stand point, I can understand the design requirement, having a led to confirm contact and all, but all this created more problem. having designed a "pass-trough" adapter that brings the mag-safe like principle would automatically carried on the MFi certification of the cable (or whatever accessory you connect to it), would not have interfered with the signalling, would have made thing much more simpler. Sure it is a nice to have to confirm at a glance the adapter is connected, but I get the same feedback from my iPhone.
Anyhow, I digress, I feel a bit disappointed, was looking forward to giving some as X'Mas gift last year, maybe this year, at least I know some of my family won't be switching on the iPhone 7, maybe they can find good use of it, before it takes the way of the iMuseum I have at my house.
I hope for all of us we can get our rewards before the year's end and all this wouldn't have been in vain.

There is no way these are MFI-certified. Sadly the misuse of funds and time has made Znaps a sub-par company, that resembles politicians wanting to be voted in. We gave $3,000,000, were promised the world, and no one has received anything, just like after an election. If anyone is interested I've got some great snake oil that's guaranteed to cure whatever ails you...

I asked a friend who works at Marvel. They never issued licenses to Znaps for their character designs. In an alternate universe where Znaps actually shipped these "special edition" designs, they'd get sued by Marvel.

It sounds like they have been sending the crappy defective ones to people. If it doesn't have the silicone waterproof ring on the connector that's complete crap. They can't afford the 2 cent rings? Why can't they get the simplest part of znaps right.

@Thomas I recieved a sample product and I will post the video of it, it's just a shame on the prototype, you wouldn't pay a dollar for the final version, it doesn't have the silicon band for water proof, they are not single hand operation, they dnt stick well to the device, it's extremely annoying to use it.

Obviously we have a different interpretation of what being a scammer means! We don't have evidence that the backers' money has been used for the production of the promised product.
Evidence from the updates so far shows that probably the campaigners have screwed the backers (that's the most polite way to put it), or, at best, have screwed the project, not that they're seriously working to provide what they've promised; so, on my opinion, yes, backers have a right to their money!
In my legal tradition, the weak party is always the one that should be protected, in order for the strong one not to take unethical advantage; guess who the weak party in this case are!
As for controlling the people, obviously your attempts have failed; that's the power of democracy: you're not in control!

@Michail Drakomathioulakis, they are scammers if they're getting charge backs from their credit card issuer. They knew the deal they were entering into when they opted to back this project. We have ample evidence that the developer spent the money on producing units.
That money that's being refunded has to come from somewhere and I'm guessing it's coming from the credit card issuer. But, regardless of where the money is coming from, it's not money that people have a right to as it appears that the campaigner is still working to provide the promised units.
As for controlling people, obviously, I'm completely in control here, as evidenced by the people no longer whining and bitching about the situation.

Now my order consists of both the Micro USBs and the Type C (which I understand is coming later). Among the Micro USB, I have one black set and 2 special edition ones (those also are supposed to come later); so presumably they're getting ready to ship the black micro usbs? Come on people, in all fairness Znaps commented on two pressing issues above that people are whining about. Status of Special edition (or the non white or black Znaps), change of order

This product really sucks for those who have gotten new phones since then and the connectors will no longer work... I had 5 phones/tablets in the house, all using Micro USB. 4 of the 5 phones now are LG G6's which are all Type C connections. This product is now useless to us.... (minus ONE phone... um, yay?)

I finally started to share the doubts that a lot of people where sharing online.
Though I've allways given Znaps the benifit of the doubt.
Now this e-mail with confirmation of current shipping adres gives me some hope again.
Good point mentioned by others.. we never see any colored versions in any of the updates.. hmmm.

To me that is a sign of hope, if they were trolling with no intention of delivering the product then why would they waste their time updating my shipping address?

Email regarding shipping address just arrived. Looks like they're on the way. I wish they'd tossed up an update to let people know, just in case they didn't check their email.
Fingers crossed on the shipping, after this, the only Kickstarter reward I haven't received would be Radiate (ugh, don't get me started on them, honestly you can't compare the two, Radiate makes any Kickstarter look like a Fortune 500 in comparison). If the charging works and the magnets work (more or less) I'll be happy. Sick of unplugging and replugging in.
