About this project
When we couldn’t find high quality, uniquely designed socks made in America, my cousin and I decided to make them ourselves. We designed a range of socks that could be worn for every occasion. Using only the finest quality materials and the most experienced manufacturer, we are proud to present you with 12 socks that will treat your feet like royalty.
Grown exclusively on American soil, we source the highest quality domestically produced cotton from California, New Mexico, Texas, and Arizona: Supima cotton. This extra-long staple fiber combines luxurious properties like softness and luster with practical advantages like sturdiness and resistance to pilling. The raw Supima cotton is then sent to Buhler Yarns in Jefferson, Georgia where the cotton is spun into a 30/1 knittable form. Next stop is Meridian Specialty Yarn Group in Valdez, North Carolina, where two single strands of cotton are twisted into one to increase the material's strength and durability. Meridian also dyes the cotton into our carefully selected color pallet. Lastly, the cotton travels to the most important step in the process, our knitting mill, Harriss & Covington in High Point, North Carolina. Our socks are knit in a double cylinder 176 needle count jacquard knitting machine with a blend of 71% Supima, 28% nylon, and 1% spandex.
If we reach our stretch goal of $50,000 we will add two more socks to the product offering for our backers.
1. Commitment to unique design and aesthetic
2. Exclusively sourcing the highest quality materials
3. Manufacturing all of our products in the United States
Why we need your help:
In order to start manufacturing our socks we need to buy raw materials and reach minimum order quantities from our service providers. We will spend $6,000 buying enough Supima™ cotton to fulfill our Kickstarter orders. The other $14,000 will be spent spinning, dying, and knitting our Supima cotton into Ace & Everett socks.
Looking towards the future, we have laid the foundation for our second product, the classic pocket square. Our team sources the finest wool, linens, and silk which are then cut and sewn in NYC's Garment District. Each pocket square will feature a diagonal leather strap allowing you to hang your square while not in use.

Risks and challenges
The team has done its best to mitigate the risks and challenges for this project. We have visited our sock mill 5 separate times in the past 9 months and we will personally be running the fulfillment center from Morehouse Engineering in Hopewell, New Jersey.
We have working prototypes of our socks, that we are proud to say surpass our expectations for design, comfort, and fit. Having spent the past year working with our manufacturer to perfect our samples, we are offering a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
Our designer has completed 14 technical packs which have been vetted with our manufacturer. Prior to production we will only be making minor tweaks to our color ways.
Our sock mill produces millions of pairs of socks each year and we will have the capacity to meet any level of kickstarter demand.
That said, there are inherent risks of delay in the manufacturing process. We will communicate with our backers throughout the campaign to ensure the fulfillment timeline stays true. We will be working full time to ensure that all delivery dates are met.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Yes, our socks are designed to be one size fits most. We have had friends with shoe sizes ranging from men's 6-13 comfortably wear our socks.
We will send out a survey after our Kickstarter campaign ends asking for you to choose which colors and designs you want shipped to your door.
We want Ace & Everett to be worn on feet all over the world. Since international shipping is so expensive, we have included an additional fee which will be added to your pledge. Keep in mind this does not include customs or duties which vary from country to country, so please check before backing.
Yes, Ace & Everett has been put to multiple wear tests. With over 50 washes in six months for our first set of samples, we are proud to say these socks are in it for the long haul.
We are going to have our own website www.aceandeverett.com. We will be selling all of our products and will strive to keep pace with your demand!
