As designers, we often need to sketch out ideas that work with standardized conventions. The Sticker UI Book gives us tools to represent common UI elements quickly, leaving more time to focus in on moments of creativity.
- Junior Designers Use this book to develop a solid sketching practice.
- UX Professionals Use this book as a fun and organized way to sketch ideas and communicate with coworkers.
- Students & Educators Use this book to sketch out ideas and develop familiarity with UI elements and good documentation habits.
The Sticker UI book contains many different page templates as well as UI elements to make illustrating your ideas fast, fun, and organized.
Every Sticker UI Book is divided into different platform templates to help your UI work swiftly get started including; web, mobile & tablet. We also provide you with a storyboard template for concept vetting and also some blank pages for those open creative moments.
Our stickers provide you with a balanced set of UI stickers to fit the amount of templates in the book. Use any combination of stickers and sketching that best illustrates your idea.
When you are ready to begin sketching digitally, we created a digital version of the UI toolkit - which will make your wireframes faster and more consistent.
We created the digital Sticker UI Toolkit as a set of basic UI elements with minimal graphical style and limited complexity. This makes it easy for users to create new or custom elements that blend well with the set. Each item was drawn by us and is free to use by backers. We designed it to match the UI elements and templates in the printed version. It is optimized to spec for each of the web, mobile and tablet platforms.
All of our top tier backers will get a copy of the digital toolkit to download for FREE as a bonus!!
We're currently working with two different printers to print the stickers and the sketchbooks. The sticker pages will be proofed, finalized, then sent to the sketchbook printer. The sketchbook printer will attach the sticker pages into the sketchbooks. We will go through as many proofs as are necessary to ensure our standards are met. We will share all updates with backers. We want to get rewards to backers as fast as possible. We believe our Winter ship goal allows some flexibility for unforeseen issues. Of course, we will ship early if we can.
Our goal reflects quotes for 500 units from both the sticker and sketchbook printers. This also includes estimates from fulfillment services, shipping costs, and fees from Kickstarter and Amazon. Any extra funds will be used to print a second short run that we will offer to backers first through our website. Any extra funds will also help us set up a website where we can offer the digital tool kit to the public and create a space for the design community to expand upon it.
Risks and challenges
Getting the word out! We only know so many people. Neither of us are famous, or even internet famous. If you think our sketchbook seems fun, we would appreciate it if you shared our project via your social networks and your word of mouth.
Fulfillment will be a challenge. We will not know how many units to ship or where to ship them until the Kickstarter campaign is over, which makes estimating and planning a little tricky. We will so our best to get rewards to backers as soon as possible.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
