Skies of Fire is a limited comic series by Vincenzo Ferriero and Ray Chou, with art by Pablo Peppino and Bryan Valenza. Skies was launched in 2014 has remained 100% independent through crowdfunding and the support of our fans. Last year we created a beautiful clothbound hardcover trade edition collecting our first four issues. This year, we're back with the second half of the series!
This campaign's goal is to raise funds to print the fifth issue of Skies of Fire. Any additional funds will be funneled back directly into the production of future editions of the series.
Skies of Fire takes place in the Aquilan Empire, a kingdom where airship travel has become the dominant means of transportation, commerce, and war. In the center of the Empire lies a monstrous, never-ending storm called The Expanse.
In Issue One, the raider Delmonte orchestrates a surprise attack on the key trade outpost, Port Prince. His actions prompt Royal Guard Captain Helen Pierce to volunteer for an expedition to bring him to justice.
In Issue Two, Captain Pierce enlists the help of the elusive William.
Issue Three follows the pair as they recruit members for their mission in the bordertown of Copperhead.
In Issue Four, the crew of the Zephyr comes together despite their differences.
Issue Five follows the Zephyr as they finally embark on their mission into the Expanse...

Risks and challenges
This will be our eighth crowdfunding campaign. In every case we've been dedicated to fulfilling what we've promised at all costs. The biggest risk associated with this campaign is a delay on estimated shipping times. We have not yet printed the comics for Issue #5, and in the event of unforeseen circumstances the books may take longer to arrive in our hands.
We're doing our best to decrease the time between campaign end and shipping. In the past we've been as good as fulfilling in under two months - that's our goal for this campaign, and we're confident we can achieve it.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
