Glow is an ongoing comic series by Ray Chou and Vincenzo Ferriero with art by Anny Maulina and Dia Jia.

The goal of this Kickstarter is to raise print funds for issue #2. Any additional funds will go directly towards the production of further issues of the series.

Glow takes place in a world where magic catalyzed both industrial revolution and nuclear holocaust. Half a millennia ago, an ancient and powerful empire known as Nymera developed a means to channel and store magical energy into a sticky blue substance known as anima, storing them into massive Towers across the world.

With the aid of the Towers, the Nymerans brought peace and paradise into the world. Until one day the Towers fell.

The story of Glow takes place two hundred years after that cataclysmic event, and follows the story of those who remain.
Issue One introduced us to Caszy and Koken, siblings scavengers of the Wastes with extraordinary abilities.

Issue Two continues the story as the witch Myra makes a compelling proposition.

Magic in Glow is channeled through the language of ancient Nymera, the former masters of the world. In order to flesh out this cornerstone of the story, we've been collaborating with Colm Doyle, an Estonian linguist and enthusiastic conlanger.

Nymeran is used a number of ways in the comic, including sound effects.

Each digital edition of Glow comes with a language guide that teaches you the secrets of ancient Nymeran.

Risks and challenges
This is our sixth Kickstarter project, and as always the biggest risk is timely delivery. Last year we had a lot of issues regarding our manufacturers, and the lesson we took at the end of it all was that we need to be better.
For 2018, we want to ship our projects in as timely a manner as possible. We've set a deadline for this project of April and think we can wrap everything up by then. The only new manufacturing needed for this Kickstarter are the print copies for #2 as well as some runic pendants. Everything else is in stock and ready to go.
We'll do our best to improve our logistics, but are also committed to top quality customer support. If you ever have an issue, please let us know and we'll do our best to fix it. You can ask our previous backers - we do our best to make sure they're 100% satisfied.
At the end of the day, Mythopoeia is just Vince and Ray. We both have full time jobs outside of comics, but we're passionate about what we do and are committed to grow. We hope that comes across in the work.
