Jacob loves Emilia Gray, but things aren't always that simple in the world of Magickind...
The war has begun.
The Dragons are gaining power, and the Gray Clan stands alone. Desperate to find a way to stop the Pendragon, Emilia is forced to seek answers from someone who hasn't been seen in seventeen years . . . Her mother. Embarking on a magical journey filled with witches, wizards, centaurs and a dangerous and powerful Siren, Jacob and Emilia must take a leap of faith to a land neither could have ever imagined . . . and hope they can then find their way home.
East Country upheld the laws. Mid destroyed them.
In the year 2185 Earth is rebuilding after climate change created a global eco-crisis. Countries maintain complete isolation so there is no warfare over scarce resources. One Elected family is chosen to lead each country for 100 years to ensure stability. Women aren’t allowed to take office and must reproduce at all costs. Technology use of any kind is banned to preserve what’s left of the environment.
And yet, I’m my country’s Elected. I’ve just sanctioned technology use to ready us for war. I’m about to cross the border to spy on our neighbor. And . . . I’m a girl.
Shhhh . . .
The ELECTED series is a Mulan-inspired story that delves into some of society's most complex issues of gender equality, technological overuse, genetics, and even climate change.
Something sinister has slithered into Spirit.
Seventeen-year-old Bristol Blackburn is still adjusting to life in her new home. In the last six months, she lost both her parents, revealed her psychic abilities to a small, select group, and found the boy of her dreams. Literally.
Payne McKnight has no problem telling Bristol he loves her, but something is stopping her from saying it back. Maybe it’s the generations-old feud between their families heating up again. Or maybe it’s the vision she has of Payne’s grandfather killing the new girl in town.
Worse than that, it could be the ominous black snake Bristol keeps seeing in her dreams. Since it arrived, many have died and the Shadow Creatures have returned to kill her.
You’d think the bright spot for Bristol would be the vision where she’s finally able to say those three little words: I love you.
If only she was saying them to Payne . . .
The elf queen motioned from the two Seasons back to the elf by her side. “This is Ealis. She will accompany the Spring Prince on his journey and assist him as needed.”
“What?” Morrigann’s jaw dropped, and he tore his gaze from Ealis back to the Summer Queen. “What journey?”
His mother silenced him with a look. “A half-blood has a been found.”
Turning back to the mage, the Spring Prince found her meeting his gaze steadily, almost with a note of challenge. Her silver eyes, while maintaining the typical elvish aloofness Morrigann had come to expect over the years, narrowed as she glared, actually glared at him.
“Mother, I must object. I am the Lord of the Spring! Bringer of life. If I cannot recover a simple half-blood on my own—”
“This is no simple half-blood.”
This fourth book in the War of the Seasons series includes a never-before-published novella as well as ten short stories (Songs of the Seasons) written by Spendlove and other authors, including: Bryan Young, Maggie Allen, Cleolinda Jones, Albin Johnson, and Aaron Allston. There's not a really intuitive way to do add-ons, and the process can be confusing, so here's a quick explanation.
To add one of the below onto your current pledge, just click on the "Manage Your Pledge" button at the top right of the page, click in the "Pledge Amount" box, and change the pledge amount to reflect the addition of the amount of the add-on you want. Example: if your current pledge amount is $10, and you want to add a $5 add-on, you would click into the "Pledge Amount" box and change the pledge amount to $15. At the end of the Kickstarter, we'll send out a questionnaire to find out what add-ons you contributed for.

Risks and challenges
There are risks and challenges with any project, but as with our previous Kickstarters we’ve minimized them considerably. All four books are already written, edited, and are either in layout or the proofing stage.
The biggest challenge for a publisher, other than getting the content in and formatted, is generally timely printing. We have solid relationships with our printers, and are generally able to get proofs back and books printed within 30 days of submission, but there is always a chance that the printer will take longer than expected. If that happens and it causes the project to run past the promised date, we will send out regular status updates until the books have arrived.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
