Have a question?
Books received, time to start reading.
Awesome, I just recieved Apollo's daughters, and wanted to make certain Heroes hadn't got lost in the mail. Looking forward to another great book.
They have! We've been shipping for about a week and a half now, so you should be seeing your book any time now.
Just checking if books have started shipping yet?
We expect to have the eBook out this week, and we'll be sending the files off to the printer at the same time. Including the proofing process, it takes about 30 days for the books to get to us from the printer once they receive the file, so we expect to start shipping the physical books around the middle to end of January.
Thanks for the question!
When do you anticipate the actual books shipping?
We expect to have all of the extra reward level eBooks (except for Apollo's Daughters, which is still in production) up and ready for download before the end of September.
So, I specifically backed at Superhero Sidekick to recieve the Stackpole and Bernheimer books (and HEROES!, of course) any notion when they'll be available?
@Kenneth W. Scott: I don't think the project creator can change anything about your pledge level once the campaign is finished (and possible even while the campaign is ongoing). They might try to contact Kickstarter about it, though I would find it highly unlikely that Kickstarter would change anything.
So the procedure outlined in Update #14 is something that is only tracked by Silence in the Library Publishing, not directly by Kickstarter. (If you haven't received any confirmation I would certainly send a message, either through the mail you PayPayl'ed with or through the Kickstarter messaging system, and be sure to include the relevant information to cross-check that.)
Hi, I upgraded to Hardback Superhero from Superhero following the instructions provided in Update #14 and haven't heard anything back. Could you please confirm you've received and recorded my upgrade? I'm still shown as Superhero on the Kickstarter site.
Missed the update, but am very glad to hear it.
I'm not sure if you saw our update, but we love Jim Bernheimer’s work, and we got close enough that the numbers make sense to go ahead and add it to the anthology. Thank you for your support!
Congratulations to the team at Silence in the Library Publishing!
Question about add-ons -- I don't know what my backer # is, but if I pledged to get an add-on that I get as a early-ish backer, can I make a trade?
(if not, I can give away the extra?)
Congrats on getting funded. A little bummed we couldn't get that little extra to get to 16,500, but still an amazing success. Congrats to all involved.
Jill, the last day is just as good as the first day! Happy to have you on board again!
Awesome! Thanks, Sonia!
Bumped up pledge to get more books -- still all e-books though!
Finally made it! So sorry to be squeaking in on the last day! :) <3
And we have officially reached the original Hardcover goal :)
Let's see what else we can reach during the last day!
Just upgraded my trade to hardcover. Know not much but every little bit helps. :)
Thanks for the bump and approval, dj grandpa!
Kenneth, I hope so too! The hard cover stretch goal was one of those that we had to price carefully, as printing hard covers is REALLY expensive if you're not printing a relatively high volume. That said, we very much want that to happen in time for everyone to have a crack at upgrading before the Kickstarter ends. To that end, if we hit the $14,000 goal (The John Kovalic goal) tonight, we'll go ahead and make hard covers available so that everyone who wants to get a hard cover can have at least a day to do so during the Kickstarter.
I sure think that we will hit that goal (7$ away from the next stretch goal! :)). I hope that it will be soon enough that everything can be set up for it and everyone that wants a hard cover can get one.
So hope this bumps up another 1050. I'd really like to get the hard cover.
congrats to silence in the library.. dj grandpa backed and approved..
The backer numbers are static. Once you back, your number doesn't change unless you drop and re-back. That said, we keep track of all of the backer numbers, so that, at then end, if we've got a reward for, for instance, the first 100 backers, and 3 of them drop out, backer number 103 would be the last person to get that reward.
Glad to hear you're liking Time Traveled Tales! We're actually sending Time Traveled Tales 2 to the printer this week, and sending the eBooks out to everyone who backed for them or ordered them from our website.
Doesn't have really to do with the project, but I'm kinda curious: Since you can look up the backer number of backers - do you know how it affects the backer numbers you see when someone drops out? Do everyone get one place better or are the numbers static in nature? In the past it was possible to figure them out yourself (before KS started to randomize the backer list), though with larger project that is a pain anyway - the best way is just to remember it when you pledge.
Not that I want to drop out or anything - I have no interesting in passing on your books :). I'm currently reading some Time Traveled Tales (somehow my backlog of stuff to read just gets bigger and bigger, so I haven't really found the time to finish it yet), and I really like them so far.
Trevor, thank you! It should be a great book!
My first book backing. I just happened to stumble across this project, recognized many of the authors, and liked the project description. I look forward to adding this to my library.
Woo! Thanks, Sonia!
Home page Staff Pick today!
And thank you!
Pepita, no worries! I just checked and you are #31!
Pledge level increased, hopefully still in the first 50.
Jeremy, I'm glad you like our projects!
For some reason Kickstarter doesn't make the backer number easily available to backers. I've heard that you can find out your backer number via the Kickstarter app, but I've never used the app, so I can't verify. So that pretty much leaves you with the option of asking us. And we're happy to let you know :-) (You're #185.)
Thanks for your support!
I'm loving all these project; keep them coming.
Question: How do you know what number backer you are?
You can adjust your pledge as much as you want and it will not affect your backer position. Note that if you cancel your pledge and then re-pledge, you WILL have a new backer position. However, your backer position stays the same if you merely adjust the amount and/or reward.
Just want to confirm that adjusting my pledge level won't change my backer position
Thanks for the support, Donald! We can't wait to hit the first stretch goal!

And Randall Lemon puts us over the top! Yay! On to the stretch goals ...
Thanks, Michael. We're all going miss Aaron, but, like you, are very excited to have his story in this anthology.
I must say this really sounds awesome. Glad to do my small part. Sad and excited to see an Aaron Allston story.
Absolutely! Keep the same pledge level, but just increase your pledge amount by $20. After the Kickstarter, we'll ask you about any add-ons in the survey, and you can just let us know then what it is for.
Hi! If I pledge for the STIL ebook bundle is it possible to add on a print copy of the anthology?
You rock, Kenneth!
Thanks, Christian! Mike actually has stories in this project that tie into In Hero Years I'm dead.
Thanks, Roberto! We're well on our way there!
We'll absolutely be adding hard cover copies once we reach that goal, and we'll make the upgrades available to everyone once we get there. The stretch goal is low enough that I think we'll get there with plenty of time left for the upgrades, but if we don't, we'll continue to make that upgrade available after the Kickstarter ends. Thanks for the question!
