75% of the way!

Dear Backers,

Thanks to all of you who have helped spread the word on this project. That's the only way this project is going to fund and meet any stretch goals whatsoever.

I'm back from Dragon Con now, where excitement for the project was high, and we'll be working full time once again to make this the best project we can.

Thanks again for your support.

As an additional thank you, here's a piece of art that the artist, Erin Kubinek, did. This probably won't make it into the book, but the sentiment is something that certainly makes you think.

We're over halfway!

Posted by Silence in the Library Publishing (Creator)

I wanted to take time out to thank everyone again for getting us well past the halfway point within 48 hours of the kickstarter launching.

There have been some questions about Add-ons, so I wanted to explain what those are and how those work. All you need to do is increase your contribution to the project by the listed amount, and then when everything is all over, we'll get a hold of you and double-check which add-ons you wanted.

Currently, we're offering three add-ons, but more will most likely be added.

$20: A standard poker-sized deck of playing cards featuring Erin Kubinek's illustrations of U.S. Presidents and their would-be (and occasionally successful) assassins. Please include an additional $3 for shipping outside the United States.

$15: An extremely high quality 8x10 print of an illustration of the President or assassin of your choice from the book.

$15: A signed, print copy of Bryan Young's previous novel, Operation: Montauk.

Additionally, we wanted to remind everyone just how important it is to us that you're helping to spread the word about the project. It means the world to us.

We really believe in this book and want it to reach as wide an audience as possible, and we'll only be able to do that with your help.

So thanks again, and help us spread the word!

Our first day!

Posted by Silence in the Library Publishing (Creator)

Dear Backers,

It has been an amazing first day. We're already a quarter of the way funded and the first day isn't even over yet. I never thought we'd make it this close on the first day and you guys came together and made it happen. It's all thanks to you and I couldn't be more grateful.

Over the coming days and weeks of the Kickstarter, we're going to be releasing more presidential portraits and pieces of Erin Kubinek's art from the book.

Also:

There were a couple of questions asked that I have answers to:

1) Though no one has actually used it yet, I had a couple of backers ask for a $1 contribution level. The only reward is gratitude, but at least people at that level will be counted and recognized.

2) We were asked about add-ons to include print copies of my last book, Operation: Montauk. I will be doing that for a $15 add on and will create a space for add-ons on the main project page. So far, that's the only one. I'll add more as I figure out what they are and what people want that I can provide.

And feel free to get a hold of me if you have any questions or concerns or suggestions.

Also, be sure to check out the Silence in the Library Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/sitlpublishing) and Twitter (https://twitter.com/SitLPublishing). And tell your friends about this project! If you like it, chances are they will too.

Thanks again!
