MOKURU is an amazing desk toy crafted with quality beech wood. It has a simple design with endless possibilities that will test your creativity and dexterity. Play with MOKURU for fun or sharpen your skills and style to become a master. You can even play MOKURU with friends. It’s totally up to you!
In Japan, “wood” translates to “moku”, and “flipping” translates to “kuru”. That’s how we came up with the name, “MOKURU”.
The Basic Level is simple. Tip MOKURU over gently, and it will flip. Once you get the hang of it, you can get creative and start inventing your own unique tricks! Check out the videos below for some tricks and examples of the different mastery levels - Basic, Advanced and Expert!
MOKURU is truly suitable for anyone! Just playing with MOKURU for a few minutes a day can help you sharpen your focus and hand-eye coordination. No matter what tricks you decide to practice, playing with MOKURU can give you endless hours of fun and joy!
The great news is that you can play with MOKURU anywhere you like! During development, it was extremely important to us that the design of MOKURU was one that would look great anywhere, from your home to the bar or your office desk. When it comes to when and where you can play with MOKURU, there are no limits.

MOKURU was created in 2010 by Mr. Masakazu Node (野出正和). Born in Tokyo in 1966 as the first son of his family, he joined the toy-making industry with his sights set on becoming an “Admirable Father”.
His motto is simple, “Don't create toys that are safe and easy to play; create toys that can bring joy and happiness.”
“The concept of MOKURU can be traced back to around 20 years ago when my friend and craft artist, Mr. Toshio Sato, shaped MOKURU. I was impressed by the design and Mr. Sato agreed to let me turn MOKURU into a next generation skill toy. After extensively testing various designs, we have worked hard to establish the perfect of size, shape and materials for MOKURU. Today, we are happy to bring MOKURU to the world.” - Masakazu Node (野出正和)
Every now and then, an object comes along that reinvents how you play. After testing a variety of hand-crafted prototypes with different materials, we've tweaked each detail to arrive at the MOKURU you see today.
We have a number of working units, but in order to make enough for you to have one as well, we need to place a substantial minimum order for the first production run of MOKURU.
That’s where you come in!
MOKURU has been an idea we've been dying to bring to market since it was first conceived in 2010. The product you're seeing in this project is from our initial production test run. We're perfectionists, and we wanted to make sure we got this one right.
We are very excited to get MOKURU into your hands. We're going to continue to work day and night until the very last MOKURU has shipped.
Please help us spread the word about MOKURU!
We know that not everyone will be able to support us with a pledge, so even if you can’t purchase your own MOKURU, you can help us spread the word on Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, Instagram and anywhere else you can think of! The larger the MOKURU community, the better! We couldn’t do this without you.
A BIG thank you to Satoshi for the wonderful video and photographs. Check out his Instagram: @iesu_satoshi

Risiken und Herausforderungen
As with any project, there are always risks associated with manufacturing and supply chain logistics. However our team has extensive experience with developing products which will allow us to avoid any possible pitfalls. Also due to our careful planning, we feel the risks are very low when it comes to meeting our shipping date of April 2017. We will be sure to provide regular updates and if anything does happen to come up during our journey, our backers will be the first to know!Näheres zur Rechenschaftspflicht auf Kickstarter
