Cthulhu. Inspiration to a generation of gamers. Now, for many who play table-top Cthulhu games the time has come to experience the sounds of this dread universe and immerse themselves in the dark world of the Great Old Ones. The epic Darkraven Cthulhu Soundscape, which is designed to be played while you enjoy your favorite Cthulhu or horror table-top game, takes you from the underwater city of R'lyeh to Ithaqua's realm of wind and ice to the epic battles between the Cthulhu cosmic entities -- with several stops in between. Based mostly on sound samples, there is strong, but simple occasional musical accompaniment to set the emotional tone.
In addition to the sample played in the video, samples below from the full 40 minute soundscape include: "Battle of the Great Old Ones", "Awakening of Hastur", and "Cthulhu in R'lyeh".
The soundscape has been created by part of the team who developed the successfully funded Darkraven Fantasy Soundscapes.
The Cthulhu Soundscape package is a product which will be delivered by digital download. Files will be high quality ("CD quality" according to my music editing software) 128 Kbps MP3s.
In addition to the 40 minute Epic Cthulhu soundscape whose samples you heard above and in the introductory video, you ALSO get four twelve minute bonus tracks (for a combined total of over 80 minutes of audio!). The bonus tracks are: "Cthulhu In R'lyeh", "Battle of the Great Old Ones" (a longer, alternate version of the one in the 40 minute epic whose sample you heard above), "Great Old One In A Swamp", and "Storm". All of these tracks can be looped and put on a play list to play in any order or length desired -- for a whole evening of Cthulhu sounds. Samples of these bonus loops are below. Whereas the 40 minute epic track tells a story and moves between scenes--sometimes with basic music accompaniment--these loops are "pictures" of only one scene and provide the perfect background sounds for your game.
The following video is a review of another project done by some of the members on the same Darkraven team -- including the Cthulhu Soundscape creator. It is posted here so you can get a feel for the Cthulhu Soundscapes and what we are shooting for. Again, this review is NOT for Cthulhu, but for "Darkraven Fantasy Soundscapes" (recently live on Kickstarter):
Our goal is to distribute the Cthulhu Soundscape digitally to our backers within two weeks of the end of the campaign as the project is already 95% complete. The Darkraven Cthulhu Soundscape package will be delivered long before December 2013 when other large Cthulu projects (with which this product is NOT affiliated in any way) are delivered.

Risks and challenges
Risks are low. Delivery is digital. All we will need is your email address to make sure you get it. And the project is actually 98% finished now. We are just wrapping up production now and polishing here and there based on some feedback.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
