Hi I am Leslie!! I am from Mexico, and a mom of 3 amazing boys!!
Today I am Introducing a new family tradition!
Lupita, a children’s storybook and a figure.
During the holidays, we have the Elf on the Shelf Tradition (TM) and other similar traditions like the Mensch on the Bench (TM).
Inspired by these—I wanted to create a tradition for hispanics that celebrates our heritage.
Lupita’s storybook tells the story of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Juan Diego, and the miracles that happened!
Lupita was there to witness it all and you can go see the miracle today, the original Tilma with the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City!
The storybook tells how Lupita was given a special mission by Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Lupita will watch over children from December 12th, our lady of Guadalupe’s Day, till January 6th, the Epiphany—Three Kings Day.
She teaches children about these holidays and traditions.
Each Lupita doll has a bit of magic in her, and she will inspire children to do good deeds in hopes that the three kings will bring them a gift on January 5th.
Every family will get their own Lupita doll and read her story.
They will place her in their home and she will inspire children to do well and be nice to others.
Well-behaved children, who demonstrate their generosity and good deeds, will receive presents on 3 Kings.
Children who do not follow Lupitas way, will reflect on 3 Kings when they might get a note instead of gifts.
Follow these simple rules for your Lupita:
1) Place Lupita in each kids bedroom
2) Each night children will tell Lupita of the good deeds and amazing things they did that day.
3) Children will say goodnight to Lupita and reflect on ways they can do more good and be better kids—ideas from you, mom and dad, will help too!
4) Lupita will be there on Christmas to see the children be generous and give a homemade present to their parents to honor their mom and dad.
Lupita is a good-doer and she is someone your children will aspire to be more like.
Today with our busy lives, its always nice to bring our Mexican traditions to our home, wherever that may be!
This tradition will not only make the holidays more fun, but make them full of warm giving, generosity, and love!
Now—I cannot get this project off the ground without your support—please back my project and order your first edition of Lupita doll and story today!
I will have it delivered to you by this holiday season!
