Planned models (and unlock tiers)
These are pictures of the actual production casts for the finished pieces with their digital sculpts:
Sketchfab of the first two models:
All of our models are cast in resin and come with a standard 25mm gaming base. The character art above represents possible character-cards, and doesn't represent the final pose of models (as you can see from the first two).
- £1,100 - (Successful funding) - Female Captain, Female Mercenary #1
- £1,900 - Male Mechanic
- £2,700 - Male Mercenary #1
- £3,500 - Female Medic
- £4,300 - Droid Generalist **
- £5,100 - Female Mercenary #2
- £5,900 - Male Mercenary #2
- £6,700 - Male Captain
- £7,500 - Female Mechanic
- £8,300 - Male Medic
- £9,100 - Male Mercenary #3
- £9,900 - Female Mercenary #3
- Beyond this we will create a male/female Engineer and male/female Generalist along with more Mercenary poses and sculpts for the opposing factions
** at this stage we will have filled all (current) roles, which will unlock a separate Kickstarter for the enemy factions; Bounty Hunters, Convicts, Pirates and Aliens. Art for these factions will appear in our updates.
We plan to unlock the models above at the corresponding totals. The sculpts for the addition unlocks will be unveiled here on the main page throughout the campaign, in addition to being in any updates. In addition to the pledge tiers, any further models may be added to a pledge at the end of the campaign (and possibly afterwards for existing pledges) for a fixed price of £6.
Final pledge details (i.e. which models you select) will be gathered immediately after the end of the campaign, but one or two sculpts may still have to be finalised at this point and, if so, you will be allowed to change your choice of sculpts once all of them are completely finished. Everyone will be given plenty of notice of the point at which sculpt selection will end.
During our first successful Kickstarter we ran a poll to ask our pledgers which models they would like to see next (in case this differed from the proposed schedule), and based on the activity of this campaign we may choose to do the same at some point (don't worry, there will be plenty of warning and nothing unlocked will be switched around).
ALL proceeds made from this Kickstarter will be put back into the development of this line of miniatures. The ultimate aim is to create a sci-fi board-game based around the crew, which we will be discussing thoroughly in updates as the campaign moves along! Please see the section below for some additional details.
PLEASE NOTE: The Female Captain and Female Mercenary #1 have been modeled, cast and produced (as pics above). As a result, if you pledge and choose these models (only) the delivery of your pledge will be very quick (we would estimate a June fulfillment date at the latest for these). However, this campaign is to make sure people are interested in an expansion of the range and provide funding for the rest of the models which may/may not be unlocked. If you pledge and select models which are completed as we unlock their tiers, the production of these will take slightly longer; we have tried to be 100% transparent about this, which is why the fulfillment date listed against all pledge levels is November.
Work on the additional models is underway, and any further development will be shown on this page, and in Updates as the campaign progresses.
A note on scale
We've put the scale down as 32mm.
This is a bit naughty.
We want our models to fit in against other companies' ranges but we also want our models as a range to be a bit variable, and so the scale of the models varies amongst them. For example the Captain is a bit taller than the female mercenary, and the male Mechanic is taller than them both.
All of the models will be from 29-33mm in scale and will look proportionally correct (e.g. they will not look odd standing beside one another, or the miniatures of other ranges). Before the end of the campaign we'll clarify this with a "line-up" of some of the popular ranges for comparison.
In April, 2017, we ran our first (successful) Kickstarter campaign for a range of fantasy models and funded 6 sculpts.
This campaign was incredibly important to us for quite a few reasons:
- It enabled us to test various 3D printers to get the best quality
- We also tested out numerous casters to get the best reproduction of our 3D prints
- In addition to proving our printing quality, we tested multiple print mediums (e.g. resin/metals) to make sure we got as close to our 3D sculpts as possible in the final versions that shipped to pledgers
- We refined postage costs, and materials
- We proved that we could show great sculpts, at great prices and deliver on our goals
- Finally, it allowed us to set up all of the business infrastructure that we needed in order to take the project to the next stage (this campaign)
All of this means that you can pledge in confidence, knowing that we are capable of delivering the sculpts that we're showcasing, and accurately managing the business/cost side of things.
We estimate here that we will be able to complete all rewards by November 2018 and our hope would be to bring this date forward, but we've put the information in this section here to assure you that we have our production line in place, and (except in exceptional circumstances) should not experience any significant delays.

Our mission statement
We are a "no frills" company at this point. That means that every penny that we have invested, or earned from the first campaign, has gone back into designing additional sculpts and improving what we do, but also that we're not spending more than we need to on art or anything else that isn't essential to this stage of development. The funds received for the fantasy range will only be used to expand that range, as the funds received for the sci-fi range will only relate to those miniatures.
Our aim is to produce some of the highest-quality gaming miniatures while keeping the costs down for the people who support us.
"Still to come"
Things that will appear as the campaign progresses:
- Better pictures of the resin casts
- More of the 3D sculpts
- Art for characters (both crew and the opposing groups) further down the line
- Updates about the process we've gone through so far
What are the long-term plans for Fate of the Eidolon?
This campaign is part of an incremental project with the ultimate aim of producing a 1-6 player (single player, co-op and PvP) boardgame based on the Eidolon spaceship and her crew's adventures/mishaps.
We are starting from the ground up and, with miniature production being what we know, we are using this range to raise the capital required for proper production of boards, game art and the pieces necessary to fully test our game's systems.
In the short-term, once there are a suitable number of miniatures for each faction unlocked we will released PvP rules for free while we work on all of our other materials.
As with our first campaign we will not be selling these miniatures separately until every single pledge from this campaign has been fulfilled. In addition, when the boardgame is released the miniatures will be a separate add-on, so everyone pledging in this campaign will be supporting that project without having to worry about being forced to make additional purchases of these in the future.
We will be regularly (weekly after the campaign if it is successful) updating on the progress of every aspect of the development process.
Risks and challenges
This Kickstarter comes with few risks. We have a proven production line from design to final product and, unless something catastrophic happens, we would expect the worst to happen would be a very slight delay - there is NO chance that anyone backing this campaign would not receive their reward.
Our first Kickstarter allowed us to get designers, sculptors, printers, casters and mailing options properly aligned, as well as all of the rest of our business infrastructure, and so we are very confident in our ability to produce the models that we display.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
