Realistic Moving Jellyfish Lamp - Motion Lights
Jellyfish Motion Lights are lamps that create colorful, ambient light combined with the calming movement of a jellyfish.
Jellyfishes are fascinating, mysterious creatures living in the depths of the seas. Their movement is mesmerizing - a smooth and steady flow in pure harmony with their environment. Calming and impressive at the same time.
Together we can make this possible. I created Motion Lights with the idea of bringing the unique atmosphere of the sea to homes, gardens, parties, actually wherever you want them.
The artificial jellyfish moves with the help of a quiet motor that is invisible for the observer. Strings that are attached to the elastic wings, are coiled up which creates the unique movements of the lamps. Remote controlled, LED lights make it possible to choose the perfect color for various settings. For now I only offer pendants, floor lamps are planned.
my name is Max. I’m a craftsman by soul and built a lot of things in my entire life. It’s my passion and for me pure satisfaction to create something with my own hands. But this time it’s something special. I’m so excited about these lamps and put so much effort and time into this project. And a lot of sweat, blood and a few tears as well. Im convinced that I’m not alone with my fascination for the beauty of jellyfishes and their motion and want to share my idea of bringing a piece of this mysterious effect to our homes.
The campaign is just the start for something much bigger. Literally. I want to make Motion lights of all shapes and sizes. Whether a gigantic jellyfish floating over hundreds of heads or a small swarm moving on your desk. And that’s not the end. There are millions of other creatures with outstanding and fascinating movements like birds, manta rays or dragonflies. The possibilities are limitless.
Risks and challenges
Backing a project on Kickstarter always carries some degree of risk inherent in product development. You're investing in me, so I want to do everything I can to minimize that risk.
I want to make sure that my prototype is converted by experts.
This is why I work with German manufacturers, that are experienced professionals on their field of expertise.
But sometimes it is very difficult to foresee things that can go wrong, regarding the manufacturer, supply chains and delays.
