The Wapuu will look great alongside your PHP Woolly Mammoth.

Last woolly mammoth sold -- stay tuned for the next campaign

Hello friends,

Well, it has been about 15 months since we started the PHP Woolly Mammoth Kickstarter. In addition to the Kickstarter backers, we ordered a bunch of extras that were available for sale on the BackerKit website and I am happy to say that today I sold the last one.

It was a fun adventure.  I really had no idea what to expect when I got into this.  It was a long process and shipping all those orders was definitely a challenge.  I hope I was responsive and handled everyone's inquiries in a timely and satisfactory fashion.

Thanks to all the people who posted pictures on Twitter and other social media sites. I really enjoyed seeing the mammoths landing in happy homes all over the world.  Also many thanks to Chris Hartjes, whose daughter came up with the idea for the Woolly Mammoth.  Chris also helped spread the word and packed boxes with me.

If you are interested in seeing how the PHP Woolly Mammoth fits in with all the other elePHPants, go check out this page

And finally, since I had such a blast with this one, I am going to be running another Kickstarter campaign very shortly, bringing you another PHP inspired plush to add to your collection.  Stay tuned!!

If you live in Canada or USA you should have your mammoth(s) by now

Posted by Peter Meth (Creator)

It's been fun watching my Twitter stream over the last few days as I see lots of people posting pictures of their newly received PHP Woolly Mammoths (I have been retweeting all the ones I see so you can check out my feed for lots of nice pictures  Keep 'em coming.

As an update for those who haven't gotten theirs yet, shipping was somewhat more complicated than I thought it should have been.  However, I did manage to get everyone's order packaged, labelled, checked, double checked, triple checked and off to a shipping company (who is quite a bit cheaper than using Canada Post).  The Canadian orders went out about 2 weeks ago and the US & International orders went out last week Tuesday (Feb 9). The Canada & International orders went out without any tracking numbers and the US orders went via USPS so I have tracking numbers if needed.

By now, I should think that all of the Canadian and US orders should have been received.  The international orders are going to take another few weeks as they were sent on a 4-6 week delivery service.

If you are in USA or Canada and have not received your order by mid next week, please contact me and I can see what I can do.

At this point I think our mammoth deserves a name. Of course you will be free to name yours whatever you like, but I am going to make the official name "Molly", for which I give credit to Corey Fowler of Microsoft who named his mammoth that.  This name will appear on the website that catalogues all the elePHPants in existence (whenever they get around to merging my pull request).

Finally, if you know someone who wants a mammoth to call their own, I have some extras which can be purchased at

Thank you all

Canadian orders have shipped / US orders are close

Well shipping is turning out to be more complicated than it should be.  I have a shipping partner that I am dealing with and it has been a bit of a challenge understanding their process.  They are also about a 45 minute drive so it's been hard to find time to pack my van and get out there during their business hours.  The good news is that I was able to get all the Canadian orders shipped today, so if you are in Canada they should be in your hands shortly.

The US orders are at the shipping company's warehouse waiting for postage & shipping labels (printing these is part of the process that I have been struggling with). The big thing I am waiting to hear back on is the US return address in case any items cannot be delivered.  If any of you want to help me out and let me use your US address and collect my returns, please let me know as this may help out greatly.

The international orders have not been packaged yet, because I needed to clear out space in my basement by getting the US and Canadian packages shipped.  Now that those are out of my house, I can start on the international orders.  I can probably have them packaged in a couple of days.

Sorry, I know this sounds like a very convoluted process but it's because Canada Post is stupidly expensive to ship.  It's very close to being all sorted out though. Hang in there.

They're heeeere!!

Guess what?

A truck pulled up to my driveway and dropped 2 skids of PHP Woolly Mammoths in my garage. I spot checked a couple of them and they look really great. So I am really excited, but at the same time I have quite a bit of work ahead of me to research my shipping options, package all the orders and ship them out.  Please make sure I have your correct shipping address in Backerkit.  You can do so by clicking on the survey link that was sent out previously or by entering your email at the following page:

If you are really anxious to get yours and can get to one of the following meetups, I will bring a supply with me:
London (Ontario Canada) PHP Meetup - Wed, Jan 20, 2016
GPUG (Waterloo) PHP Meetup - Wed, Jan 27, 2016
GTAPHP (Toronto) PHP Meetup - not scheduled yet, but probably Tues, Feb 2, 2016

Also, if you attended the TrueNorth PHP conference in 2015 then you are entitled to one. If you also ordered one through Kickstarter or Backerkit, then I will just add another to your order. If you did not order through one of these channels, you will have to either come to a meetup to get it, or make shipping arrangements with me.

Finally, I calculated that I will have some mammoths left over for sale so if you know someone who wants to get one, please have them order through Backerkit at:

Thank you all once again for making this happen.  It has been a long road and it is almost over.  Needless to say we could not have done it without you.
