Dark gray color with the Specter sample did not yet produced.
Niports have tried to add a color other than black.
Although the decision to add color, the samples could not be created.
However, similar to Dark Grey iPhone 6s.
We were inspired by the colors on the iPhone.

1. As of now we don't have any videos that could show the display when in motion but, our device is designed so that when in motion the text will appear clearly. Although it might seem that it is clear only when you pause/stop the video in reality its clear throughout the entire duration. We will try to add more photos/videos as we update our prototypes so that backers like yourself know what you're getting!
2. We have heard alot of questions about shipping. We realize that the shipping cost is high, we would love to minimize but since this is a Kickstarter project, we won't be shipping these items in bulk. Therefore these items will be sent through airplane and not through ship. This results in the high shipping price. We are sorry for the inconvenience. We are currently looking into ways to reduce the shipping costs as we realize that the costs is pretty high.
Congratulations on getting funded!. Time to aim for some stretch goals :). I've got a couple of questions:
1) Do you have a clearer video for the device in action showing how clearly the words are displayed ? In your videos it seem like the display is only clear when you pause/stop the video.
2) I guess many people are put off by the shipping charges (almost the same as the device's price!), any justification for that or any plans to make it more reasonable? as the device isn't bulky and doesn't look that heavy.
Thanks for the support! We didn't think that law enforcement could use this but hearing your opinion it definitely seems possible! On the side of Specter aside from the on/off button there will be two additional buttons for runners to use to navigate through their preset afterimages. With that, law enforcement could easily rotate STOP and GO just by clicking a button on the device.
There are an endless amount of possibilities love the suggestion. Once again thanks for backing!
If you made one that could rotate STOP and GO, law enforcement could use them for traffic direction in averse/night time conditions. It would have to have an easy on-device button to swap the two modes quickly as traffic work gives no breaks to swap via phone.
Anyhow, I backed because I really believe in your product and want to see as many active people as possible avoid serious injury or death to careless drivers.

We hope to make Specter as durable so that even in extremely rainy conditions you will be able to run with your Specter! (Although we don't advise you run in extremely harsh weather conditions for safety reasons haha)

Does the unit only work one way round? I can think of a scenario, perhaps a canoeist or sailor out on the lake, waving their arms. It would be handy if the LEDs could alight up the palm (instead of up the forearm) so that a waving hand could spell "HELP".
Likewise, it could be programmed to display "Hello" on a waving hand, seen across a crowded party, or "DRINK?" across a crowded pub or bar. :-)
