About this project
In this new music video, kids are going to sing my pop song, "Got To Be You and Me". The message here is that children are our future, and it is up to them to help make a difference and a better world for all of humanity. The overall purpose of this project is to create a feel-good, uplfting, entertaining, and enjoyable music video in which children sing, reminding us that they represent our hopes and dreams. We believe that kids in every school will want to perform this song in their classrooms and school performances. The song, "Got To Be You and Me" can be heard at the link: https://soundcloud.com/aaron-a-kaplan/got-to-be-you-me . It is written by myself, Aaron A Kaplan, and Annette Tucker.
We need the funds to first re-record in a studio the song with the singers who will also be singing and performing in the video. We need to hire a professional film production company here in Dallas as well as to pay the actresses, actors, singers and choreographers involved in the performance. Most of the filming of this video will take place at Jonathan's Place, an orphanage, in Garland in the Dallas area, and they were kind enough to volunteer their campus and staff for this production. The video will then be released on You Tube and other media.
Risks and challenges
This is a project of love, and we have the support and commitments already of many wonderful people including agents, young actresses and singers, and interested film producers. Even though many of them are offering to work at reduced rates, it is still costly to make a worthwhile professional production. The biggest challenge right now is really just the money because we have the talent and film professionals that are interested in working with us. The hard part is composing the song and writing a script and that is already done.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
