This game was designed for controller use but has keyboard functionality as well. The current build only supports 1080p.

WHAT IS YOUR BLISS?
Bliss is a fantasy puzzle adventure game where the player makes the powerful choice to take control of their own destiny to explore a sacred and mystical land full of physical challenges, inner discovery, and healing. Bliss is about walking towards the path of enlightenment or our truth. Shining light on the darkness, accepting who we are, and freeing ourselves from the shackles of unhealthy patterns.
The final game will feature a large environment with 7 hidden levels connecting to it. Each level requires your attention and healing with specific aesthetics, challenges, and themes which connect to the world as a whole.
Here at Enlightened Games want to create a thoughtful, enriching, positive interactive experience for our players. Like a novel or film - we truly believe games can add value to our lives by overcoming obstacles, using intellect, and creating emotional connections. We respect our players intelligence and know everyone is capable of learning organically through the experience.

THE OTHER SIDE OF BLISS

We’ve all been there - a time in our lives that was dark and challenging. A breakup, losing a loved one, depression, anxiety or even all the above. There have been mediums like a film or strong literature that has helped us get through those hours or even days - something simple yet effective. Enough to spread a smile across our faces. Helping time pass while we gather the strength to heal. Nothing is more riveting than a story we connect to, a powerful reminder of just how wonderful life actually is. In Eric’s words,”Because I have made it through the other side, I know what kind of game would make me feel good and lift up my spirits in a powerful way.”

The game is filled with a rich story the player must uncover. Hidetaka Miyazaki, video game director of From Software (Demon and Dark Souls) made a statement that is very close to the design mantra of the game experience. He said, “The greatest tool for narrative is the world you create for it to exist in.” This quote resonates on a personal level because we truly want the player to experience the story the way they see it, to manifest and interpret it as they imagine. This sense of awareness will bring a higher sense of light and truth to the game experience. We feel very passionate about treating game design as a unique medium, one that stays open ended to allow the space to organically describe its exposition. That being said - everything is up for personal interpretation.
The reason we believe so deeply in this project is because we feel there are people out there like us who want this type of experience. One that everyone should have the freedom to creatively express themselves - but we want to go deeper into the rabbit hole. And we strongly believe in our hearts that this experience of discovery, challenge, and healing will open up many peoples' eyes to what games are capable of.

Our goal is to constantly inspire others so when we exceed our funding goal to $250,000, we will be filming and documenting the entire development process. We have found this process very inspiring from other development teams and we want to continue this trend. Due to NDA's and creative privacy, game studios are very secluded. But we want to show the personal process and ups and downs that occur throughout the process from an independent team of passionate people. We want you to get to know us on a personal and professional level. The funds will go towards the documentary studio Arx Axiom, to ensure the episodes are of the highest quality.
This project will be released by April 2014 DRM free for PC/Mac/Linux, with the 3 core Enlightened Games team members. Lead Artist/Designer, Lead Developer, and Lead Producer with two contract artists for Composition/Sound Design and Animation.
