Hi everyone!

We know it's been a very long time since our last update. The reason we haven't been posting any update was mainly because we were extremely busy working on all our December fulfillment and shipping logistics, and it might just have been the craziest thing we've both have ever experienced - shipping out 10k orders to over 30 countries within 2 weeks! But hey, guess what we DID IT! We've shipped out all December rewards (except some incorrect addresses) JUST IN TIME for Christmas. Many of you have already received your awesome rewards and the rest are ON THE WAY!

Tracking Number:

Like we've mentioned earlier, ALL REWARDS shipped out come with tracking numbers. 

- If you are INTERNATIONAL backers: your rewards have been shipped last week! Our fulfillment partner did provide us tracking numbers, however most of them are not traceable through a linkable url, so we are still working on making the tracking numbers traceable. We will try to get the working link later today (Wednesday U.S. time), if not, we will provide a list of post service used for each country and send out the tracking numbers we have.

- If you are US backers: We have sent out the tracking numbers! If you still haven't received the tracking number for your rewards, please check your spam folder, or go to your BackerKit link, which is the same link you filled out your survey and you should be able to access your tracking information.

Shipping Process:

We almost couldn't believe that we actually did it! We've successfully fulfilled 10,000 orders ourselves together with our fulfillment partners. We also fulfilled and shipped out almost 3,000 orders right from our own office here in Berkeley, California!

We slept 5 hours per day the entire past week, unloaded over 600 carton boxes with bare hands (had to load them in pouring rain too). USPS had to send 5 mail trucks, took 3 round trips to pick up our packages and still weren't able to pick all of them up till today. One driver who's been working for USPS for 44 years and this was the most packages he'd ever picked up. Because USPS didn't send us enough shipping supplies, we also had to go around 10 different post offices to get shipping boxes, we squeezed 50 from each location, as much as we could. 


If it's leaking around the cap area, please make sure it's sealed tight and twisted all the way, and it shouldn't have any leaking problem. The best way to put the cap on is to hold the bottle neck and then twist the cap on. If the leaking continues, please send us an email at with the subject "Leaking". For other leaking in the body of the bottle, please refer to the damaged item section below.


This is not a QC problem, but a usability problem. Since the bottle is designed to be collapsible, the folding part has to support all the pressure when expanded. Please always make sure to have the cap on when filled with water, so the air could be sealed and the bottle will stay in shape. If you squeezed the bottle while putting the cap on, the cap will seal the air and the bottle will stay in the same shape as it's squeezed, which might not be in its natural shape, this will put all the pressure onto the bottom of the bottle and cause it to lean or tip over. One more advice from us, please always remember que Bottles are collapsible and that's what makes our bottles special. So whenever your bottle is empty or even half empty, please collapse it for easier and better storage, it will sit upright on any surface and will not lean at all.

Missing Items/Wrong Items:

Since we had to process a large amount of orders within a short period of time, it's unavoidable to have some packing mistakes. If you've received the wrong color/size or missing any items you selected on BackerKit, please send us an email at with the subject "Missing/Wrong items".

Damaged Items:

If for whatever reason your bottle has been damaged when you received it (cap or bottle itself), please send us an email at with the subject "Damaged Bottle/Cap" and a picture of the damage part for our record, and we will send you a replacement.


We highly recommend cleaning your bottle thoroughly before first use. This is because our bottles traveled a long way to finally get to our backers, therefore dirt, residue, and box smell might remain in the bottles. The best way to get rid of these, and clean bottles completely is to boil your bottles with water in a cooking pot for 5-10 minutes. If you don't have a big pot to do so, simply boil some hot water and pour into your bottle, sit for 10 minutes and rinse thoroughly. Please be careful with this procedure to prevent any burns.

The same cleaning method can be applied repeatedly. Anytime you'd like to clean your que Bottle throughout, just boil them with water, and this should get rid of all lingering smell from other beverages (coffee, juice, alcohol etc.)


As we've mentioned before and stated in BackerKit survey, all add-ons other than backup caps won't be available until January, they will be shipped separately in January. 

Lastly, thank you again for all your support and belief in que Bottle. As a brand new product, there is so much more to learn and improve, so many things yet to be perfected and we will continue to learn from backers feedback!

      i'm not sure what else to do-- I have washed my bottles multiple times and tried boiling them and leaving them in the boiling water for a very long time, and they *still* have a strong terrible chemical/plastic smell, and water drunk from them tastes that way as well. advice?

      I'm also an international backer - i have read that the delivery isn't possible before christmas. so i have bought other presents. I also have thought that the delivering to europe isn't working till christmas. Thats no problem.

      But the Delivery-Status isn't going on since a few days/weeks. So i hope i can recieve it in the next Weeks (before february?)

      We just received our bottles and would like give our opinions about the bottle and ask a question.

      Yes! It is very easily collapsible, and we thought this is even too easy because of the thin material(almost effortless), maybe you guys could improve it more better with thickening the material and make it even more robust.

      The cap is very good, not using any seal rubber inside the cap like any other tumbler, but still keep an air-tight seal.

      The minus, because of the thin material, when we fill more than 3/4, the bottle hard to stand up straight, if we put it on flat surface.
      And also because of the thin material, if we fill with boiling water, we can't even hold the bottle because we can feel the heat from outside of the bottle.

      And we would want to know if you guys already tested for how long does the bottle can keep cold/hot water?

      Regarding the "leaning" issue mentioned in other comments and addressed in your update, both my bottles almost tip over when capped, regardless of full or empty. Not exaggerating, I lightly blow on the bottle and it tips over. This seems like something that should have been ironed out in the prototyping process because it really limits the usability of the bottle if one can't rely on it to stay upright. It's really just the weakness of the very bottom crease that is causing the issue. This lack of axial stiffness also comes into play when filling the bottle in its collapsed state. The weight of the liquid causes the bottom fold to pop out, temporarily increasing the volume of the bottle. If one sets the bottle down without capping it (totally reasonable use case), it will collapse the bottom fold and spill several ounces of liquid. Really cool idea for a bottle and I'm still happy to have supported the idea, but PLEASE address these shortcomings in the next iteration!! These are not traits of a product ready for market.

      I fully agree with Florian. Fortunatelly I don't trust "Kickstarter" promisses, so I had a backup present. Hopefully it will arrive next week and will be useful as a present for the same person which, by coincidence, as the birthday in "King's Day".

      Hi, guys... I received the tracking number 4 days ago... the status is "despatched to overseas: code MX" but... you used Singapore Post... is my quebottle really coming from Singapore or is the office at NY and is just the enterprise name? Imma bit confused.

      Guys, really disappointed. You simply cannot promise delivery for christmas and simply not deliver.
      that's not professional and not good enough. I'm an international backer and my shipping tracking is not really moving for some days - and today it's 23rd. That's it. Need to look for alternative presents...

      I am in the US and have not received my tracking number. I have checked my spam folder and when I log into the backerkit site and it shows needs attention (0) and shipping (0).

      I filled out my survey minutes after receiving the email about a month ago, I added a couple of add-ons which I know wont be shipped until next month. They haven't taken the money out of my account for the add-ons. I assume my card will be billed around the time those items are shipped - correct?
