Guys and Gals, Ladies and Gents you all are Out of this world!!! Together you rocked this thing with time to spare! I am overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and passion that you have shown for this dream! This isn't just a project, it is a craft beer movement and it's about to roll into Ogden like an avalanche! You are the best, "Thank you."
We met our goal with time on the clock and that allows me an opportunity to offer more rewards to you. As an extra "Thank you" for all of our supporters, when we reach the 30K mark everyone will get a voucher for an ORB Pint glass!
PLUS, for each $5,000. over the original $25,000 mark we will draw 2 names of you and a guest to have a catered food and beer pairing that will rock your world!
Wahoooo! Stretch goal #2
We just hit our first stretch goal of 30k and there is still 8 hours left! Since I like odd numbers, (and odd balls like me....) When we hit 33k everyone will get a really cool, kickstart exclusive tee shirt that is so secret that the creative team doesn't eve know they have to make it yet! Keep sharing with your friends, I know we can do this!
All of the additional funds raised will be used in the "Garden of Brews" so that when you drop by after a ride on the trail or a grueling day in the salt mines of life, you can kick back and relax with a cold pint of your favorite beverage and just bask in the beauty of the mountains, the blue skies and you best friends.
Pat, What are you thinking?
"Can you imagine sitting in a swing in a garden of brews, tasting and drinking great craft beer with your friends watching the setting sun paint the beautiful Wasatch mountains? Can you imagine rolling in from a bike ride or walking your dog on the Ogden River parkway and enjoying a cold pint while Puppers munches a biscuit made from the grains that crafted your beer? Imagine hanging out with friends, drinking beers and making great memories."
Ogden River Brewing is coming in the fall of 2018!
Pat’s Taps, (the tap room) will boast a tap wall that features Ogden River Brewing’s (ORB) finest small batch beers and a guest tap or two. We will also feature handcrafted root beer, ginger ale, cream soda, cold brewed coffee and kombucha! The decor will include photographs and memorabilia touting the rich history of Becker Brewing and Malting Co. founded in 1890 on the Ogden River just a block east of our chosen location. The outdoor lifestyle offered by Ogden will be highlighted in the taproom and beer garden. The brewhouse and fermentation tanks will be openly visible and available for tours upon request.
At Pat's Taps you will be able forget about the phone in your pocket and “Face-to-Face” instead of Facebook. Your squad can enjoy a little friendly competition playing games like Corn Hole and Jumbo Jenga and there will be a large screen TV specifically for event viewing. ORB will foster an environment where friends meet to talk, laugh and enjoy each other’s company, great handcrafted beverages and a variety of food provided by the amazing food vendors in the area. Of course, our sandwich menu will be available during the day for you early starters.
The Beer Garden will feature a water fountain built from repurposed brewery equipment that will create a flow of motion throughout its design. Shrubbery, trees and hops will intermingle with the tables and swings, creating a relaxing and comfortable outdoor environment. A fire pit and gas lighting will complement the evening, creating a warm inviting atmosphere.

Show me the money
The funds raised through Kickstarter will be directly used to launch this amazing brewery and tap house, from an idea to reality.
Kickstarter is designed as an all-or-nothing model. If we don't reach our goal then you don't get charged for your pledge, but you won't receive your reward or be able to drink our craft beers either, so please share our Kickstarter page with everyone you know.
Why should I donate to Ogden River Brewing?
Ogden is a destination for many fun activities and Ogden River Brewing will soon be a destination for craft beer enthusiasts from all over. The word will spread like wildfire and you will be part of it! When you support ORB your name will forever be on the wall of fame in the brewery and on our webpage. For one hundred dollar or more supporters, there will be a mug with your name on it so when you come in you can drink from your very own mug.
Since Ogden River Brewing is unique, one of the special features of our brewing style is "Barrel Aged Beer, Sour Beers and One Off's." Our five hundred and more supporters will have the opportunity to purchase new and limited release specialty brews before the public.
Ogden River Brewing is committed to sustainability and supporting our local economy and community. We will source locally, but think globally.
Kickstarter rewards is a cool way to get ORB swag before anyone else. But more importantly, it's our opportunity to do more than say "thank you" for providing much needed financial assistance and thank you for believing in and being part of the dream.
Risks and challenges
Straight up. We all know that there is risk in everything, from jumping out of an air plane to stepping in the shower. Do you remember the childhood limerick "I've been working on the railroad, all the live long day?" For forty two years I worked on the railroad all the live long day. Now I'm retired and this is my dream. The home where I live with my wife is collateral for the build-out and brewhouse. There is no question about my commitment.
I started to really think about building a brewery when I won my first award in competition in 2012. In 2014 I got a certification in craft beverage management from Portland State University and in 2016 tested on the BJCP, (Beer Judge Certification Program), achieving the recognized level. I retired in 2017 and intend to open Ogden River Brewing in fall of 2018. I am still in the planning stage but all signs are thumbs up at this point.
I have spent a lot of time on my business plan creating a Business Advisory Board that includes two current business owners, and my advisor from S.C.O.R.E. I have also created a Product Quality and Advisory Board that consists of five people, four of which are B.J.C.P. certified judges and national award winners. I keep an ear to the ground on my target market focusing on what their needs and desires are and what I can do to fulfill those needs and desires. I am dedicated to learning and I will continuously seek sustainable processes.
At the end of the day, this is the planet I inhabit, this is the city where I live and these people are my friends. I will do all that is within my capability to honor and enhance those relationships.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
