Reviewing proofs and surveys.
The book proofs are here, and I'm going through the cover and all 176 pages in search of errors that need correction before final printing starts. The printer sends over two sets of proofs for the book:
- 1. A signature proof showing trim and page sequence.
- 2. A color proof that's used to verify color accuracy.
It takes a bit of time to check all of the pages, but this is my last chance to identify and correct mistakes before the printer produces the final hardcover. I'll return the proofs tomorrow and then it will be on to the next stage of the project.
If you backed the project at a level that includes a physical copy of the book, then please take the time to complete the survey that I recently sent out. Without your completed survey I cannot mail your books as soon as they arrive, so it's best for all of us if you take care of that today.
It still looks like the books may be ready to start mailing in early September.
