Sneak peek!

Hey friends!

I am currently in Norway, as I was scheduled to merchant at a local convention there. But my easter-break is now over and I'll be taking the plane back to London tomorrow to get right back to working on Cinder. I'm looking forward to putting the whole piece together w/ the arms so I can start working on the clothes, surface, accessories, hair and details. As of now I have 2 months left to completely finish everything + help build our degree show. It'll require lots of work every day, but it'll also be really educational and exciting as I'll get to try out new techniques/methods.

For now have a couple more progress shots!

The resin and fibreglass all clamped together within the mould.^^^

Plaster waste-moulds mostly get destroyed as you have to smash them to take them apart. So the piece of artwork will be one of a kind!

First sneak peak at the raw cast and base colour! The next step will be to clean up all the edges and cast the arms, fix and filler all the seams and then move onto the painting stage. Also I have now bought all of the fabric that I will be needing for the outfit and am planning to start drafting the pattern next week.

Before the campaign ends I will put up a link to my site/blog where people can still follow the progress until July :) Thank you all so much for your support and sticking with me! It really means the world and you're all making my work so much easier + giving me heaps of motivation! I'll do my very best to make you all proud!

I completely agree with these updates! So totally awesome to be part of this entire process like this. However, as I see the pictures of the smashed versions I can't help but feel like, depending on the level of support one gives, it might be neat to send people a small piece of the ones that came before! Just a thought, but GREAT job so far!!

Like Miranda I would love if you could do an update on kickstarter every now and then. I've just sent a small amount to show support rather than to get anything out of it, I'm simply fascinated by the project.

Would you keep doing occasional updates on Kickstarter after the campaign ends? I like that they get emailed to me. :)
