Thanks for visiting our Kickstarter page and checking it out! We appreciate all the support and help we get as we couldn't do it without you! We would really like to upgrade our game and expand into different fields with your help. Plan Z combines 3D animated graphics, interactive gaming, and branching, intense zombie story lines into an incredibly smooth and fun experience. The game will be able to be played for free on Youtube, Android, and IOS in the near future. This wouldn't be possible without the generous help of our friends, families, and those who donate to help us succeed.
The game itself starts out with our protagonist, Gary, who is plunged into a world where the undead rule and he must navigate through a new life while battling old demons and learns the rules of survival in this brave, new world. He is tested time and time again in situations where the viewer is forced to make decisions that will ultimately change the outcome of the game. Each decision brings Gary either closer to redemption or death. This is the first chapter in hopefully what is to come many chapters in the evolving saga of Plan Z. We intend to release more chapters with extra funds available from Kickstarter.
The first installment of Plan Z showcases how versatile and user-friendly the game should be. It will be available through the internet and apps on both Android and iOS. The game is intended to be very engaging as the user will have the ability to control the game and its outcomes. We hope to have a very branching storyline that will lead to over 20+ conclusions. What is shown is just the first installment and there are many more to come dependent on the funding we get. We want to keep the game completely free as a tribute to all the dedicated Zombie fans out there. With more funding, we would eventually like to hire voice-over actors and more animators to add differing storylines sooner.
As avid Zombie and post-apocalyptic survival fans, we value the intelligence of our users. We intend to the make the game as realistic as possible so that the user will feel the sustainability of the game and how it would actually relate to their real lives. The zombies themselves are supernatural because this is the best explanation for undead organisms that are still able to move. Viruses only survive in a live specimen, so we have ruled out that theory in our version of the game. Within the real world, if there were to be a catastrophic event that would wipe out most of human kind, certain things would take place that most other zombie games do not address. With that being said, the most important factor of a depopulated continent would be the risk of radiation from any number of unmanned nuclear reactors. Those who are still living would then have to flee to a country that has no reactors to escape the deadly radiation. Plan Z will be the first game that will introduce this as a real issue and show the cause and effect of such an event.
Users will follow Gary Monroe, a resident of Green Bay, WI, throughout the game and make decisions based on what happens to him. Gary is a workaholic who has neglected his family and barely recognizes that his marriage is falling apart. Suddenly, he finds he is one of the last surviving humans and must make his way to the west coast to reach his father with his 7-year-old daughter in tow. She is a precocious and timid girl who knows little of her father. He knows he has a limited amount of days to reach his father, who owns his own sailing boat, and to escape the country altogether. Along the way, he makes choices to protect his daughter, connects with other survivors, and tries to redeem himself in the eyes of his daughter.
Earlier this year, we put our jobs on hold to work on Plan Z. We have been working on Plan Z full-time since then. We have managed to get by so far on our personal savings, but we're now getting to the point where we need additional funding to continue progressing Plan Z. Putting our jobs on hold no longer became an option after that. We want this game to be the best it can be and we also want to add extra features in the game to make the gameplay much more entertaining. Plan Z is not just a game to us, but it is also our dream. We hope you can help us fulfill our dream.
Risks and challenges
For the past months, our goal has been to bring Plan Z to life. Setbacks with time delays can occur with these types of projects. However, we already have been and will continue to put in 110% of our effort into Plan Z to compensate for any risk that may arise. We are confident that we will be able to complete the Plan Z game on time with high standards.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
