About

Reena Saffron is fresh out of the academy and eager to begin her first day as a full-time officer with the Pallad City Police Department. But her idealistic nature and unwavering belief in justice is put to the test when she's partnered with 'Maniac' Madison Wynter, a loose cannon officer with the Department's Special Crimes Unit, whose methods stretch the law to its very limits.
Danger Zone One began in June 2016 as a weekly webcomic. You can read it online at www.DangerZoneOne.com

The goal of this Kickstarter is to fund a physical volume of Danger Zone One material. The book will contain 200 black and white pages, featuring Chapters 1 through 6 of the comic, along with behind-the-scenes artwork, concept art, pin-ups, and more.
The physical edition will be formatted as a traditional manga-sized paperback (5.5" x 7.75").

The funds received will go towards the cost of printing the books, shipping them to backers, paying for additional pledge rewards, and the necessary Kickstarter fees. In addition, funds will go to pay Danger Zone One's current artist, Salaiix, for Chapter 6 of the comic prior to printing. Any excess money received will go into funding future Danger Zone One chapters.

*Exclusive to the EVIDENCE UNIT Pledge* are two physical 11x17 posters of Madison and Reena. This is the actual artwork by artist Ray_D_Sauce, and are one-of-a-kind, not copies or prints.
Pledge amounts for backers in the United States include shipping costs. International backers are responsible for taxes, VAT, and/or customs fees. Sadly, we can not mark items as "gifts." All physical items ship via USPS.

At $8,500: An additional, all-new chapter will be added to the Danger Zone One print edition!

Risks and challenges
Because Danger Zone One has been updating weekly since June 2016, most of the chapters are already complete (with the exception of Chapter 6). This means that the primary challenge is getting the volume printed.
Fortunately, I have had extensive experience with publishing in the past. From 2011-2015 I published Shadowland Magazine, a quarterly print publication that covered the best in horror, sci-fi and fantasy entertainment, which was available in comic/hobby shops, book stores, and Barnes and Noble locations nationwide. I'm well-versed in working with distributors, and with meeting production/print deadlines, along with producing a quality product.
The "worst case scenario" is that the printing company I chose goes out of business before we go to print, which is *extremely* unlikely, as they've been around for quite some time and have been very successful. But if that does happen, there are two back-up companies I've used in the past that would be fully capable of handling this project. Regardless, I will keep backers in the loop throughout the entire process.
