Jelt debuted in 2014 to rave reviews. No more saggy pants! No more buckle bulge! No more complete stripping in the airport security line!
Outdoor enthusiast and purveyor of fun, Jen Perry, developed the Jelt in 2014 out of her office in Bozeman, Montana. She wanted something practical, but cool. Functional, but stylish. Affordable, but well-made. Basically, she just wanted a belt to keep her skinny jeans from showing her crack!
The Jelt's genius is in the inner grippy gel!
It holds both the pants and the belt in place. No more plumber's crack when reaching down into a tub of ice cold beer on a hot summer's day-- not that we would know anything about that.
Jen added some other cool stuff, too: the flat, plastic buckle comes in handy in two arenas.
First, it doesn't create a buckle bulge with fitted shirts. Second, since it has no metal parts, airport security is a breeze.
Lefties, Jen remembered you in her design. (Maybe because she's a southpaw, too, and got tired of realizing halfway through the day that her belt was upside-down.) You can put on your Jelt left side first or right side first...it doesn't matter. The design is the same either way.
And last, but not least, the elastic is made from 100% recycled yarn, which is not only tighter than your average elastic, but good for the environment! We're green!
Everyone is talking about Jelt!
"It grips into place securely while being flexible enough to avoid poking or causing discomfort when you bend or move." Emily Reviews
"It's like a miracle that this belt looks good with everything!" Kathy S. #gottahaveit
"The Jelt belt is an ideal piece of gear... it's just as practical around town as it is on the trail." Outside Bozeman Winter Issue 2014-15
"My college age son grabbed one and threaded it through the loops of his cargo shorts. He has used it every day for 2 weeks. He loves the Jelt." Jeanie Hans, Editor-Wichita Magazine -
Our goal is to get people all over the world Jelting, so we listened to our customer feedback to design 4 new colors and 4 new sizes.
There's Black, Camo, Blue and Light Grey-all with fancy, outdoorsy names, of course.
Jen wanted the buckle to be super flat and low profile, so there is one small trick to snapping it. Follow the diagram below and you'll be a Jelter in no time! No PHD required!
Jelts are UNISEX, so the size is relative to the jeans, golf slacks, ski pants, biking shorts, riding britches or hiking togs you'll be wearing.
By contributing to our campaign, you will not only help a small-town business blossom, but you will be the first customers to receive the latest Jelt belts for a discounted rate. You'll be supporting a company that uses recycled resources, too!

Risks and challenges
We have already sent the second round of Jelts to production, so we know the exact costs. The timeline is on track. This Kickstarter goal won't cover the full costs of this round of production, but it'll sure help. Cheers!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
